Torghast Tower Challenge Boost - the fastest way to obtain weekly amount of Soul Ash required to craft Legendary Gear
Shadowlands is the new World of Warcraft expansion featuring the new undiscovered Shadowlands world - a realm between realms, the delicate balance of which is preserved by life and death itself. And as every expansion was used to bring with it lots of new features for wow players to experience, this time around Shadowlands addon brings new replayable dynamic endgame content for 1-5 people called Torghast, Tower of the Damned.
Torghast Tower is located in the heart of the Maw and is the place where Jailer holds his most powerful souls. Every time a player enters Torghast, he will encounter new challenges in his way: dynamic wings and changing floors flooded with horrific creatures roaming the corridors, getting stronger as you progress towards higher levels of Torghast. The Tower is designed as dynamic content for either solo players or groups up to 5 players scaling everything accordingly. Torghast has 6 wings total: Coldheart Interstitia, Skoldus Hall, Mort'regar, Soulforges, Fracture Chambers and The Upper Reaches with only 2 of them active at a time during one weekly reset and rotating every week. Each Wing has 8 Layers and each Layer has 6 Floors with different encounters, mobs, puzzles, rares and main boss waiting for you on the last floor of each Layer. As soon as you enter Torghast, you won't be able to change your spec, talents and gear because of The Jailer's Chains debuff making the challenge more interesting and relied on your skill. This can be countered by a special zone called Refuge of the Damned found at the entrance and on each 3rd Floor of each Layer. The higher the Layer and Floor number, the harder enemies and encounters get introducing new Torments mechanics which become stronger as you advance to higher floors empowering mobs and bosses and weakening player(s) making the run more challenging. Additionally, during the run you will encounter lots of new and interesting mechanics and activities such as collecting Phantasma, which unlocks some new features, improving your powers and altering your playing experience every time you make a Torghast Challenge Run. Secondly, you can find Soul Remnants scattered through Torghast which you can set free and gain powerful buffs until the end of Torghast Tower run. You will also gain Anima Powers by collecting Anima Orbs randomly spawned in Torghast and can be looted in phylacteries, or for killing rare or empowered mobs etc., which increase player's power within the Torghast. The run itself does not limit players by speed, time or dps, as previous challenge mode content, so they can stay there as long as they want until player or group reaches certain amount of deaths. The amount of deaths allowed hardly depends on a group size:
- Solo: 5 deaths;
- 2 Players: 8 deaths;
- 3 Players: 10 deaths;
- 4 Players: 13 deaths;
- 5 Players: 15 deaths;
Reaching this death limit will not end the run, but instead in 30 seconds will spawn massive mob called the Tarragrue at the beginning of the floor, which slowly starts to move towards the end of the floor. If a player or group dies from the mobs/encounters or because Tarragrue reached them, they will be teleported to the beginning of the floor ending their Torghast Run because they won't be able to pass through Tarragrue. If players manage to finish the floor before Tarragrue will reach them, they will escape Tarragrue and start new floor however with 0 death counter with any death spawning the Tarragrue again. Once the Layer is done, it is unlocked forever for your character and you can teleport directly to that Layer any time with the help of Wayfinder mechanics. Interacting with Wayfinder will show you all completed, available and locked layers as well as obtainable rewards. Every new player will have to complete Torghast Tower Runs on a weekly basis because it is the only source for Soul Ash currency which is required to fuel Runecarver's Chamber and craft your own Legendary Gear, greatly improving your character's powers. Soul Ash is obtained for completion of a Layer once per week per wing with only 2 of 6 wings available each week. Also, completing higher Layer will automatically grant player all Soul Ash from previous Layers It means that each player will need to complete 2 highest Layers in both Wings during the weekly reset. You will also need a good skilled party or high gear to accomplish the highest possible layers of Torghast to get maximum amount of Soul Ash in order to not fall behind in progress and craft all necessary Legendary Armor, which sometimes can be hard and time consuming task. And for those of you who seek bigger challenges and better unique rewards there is a special much more difficult Twisting Corridors "Challenge Mode" Wing which also has 8 Layers with each consisting of 18 Floors randomly generated from 3 of 6 Torghast Wings. Completing different layers of Torghast Twisting Corridors Wing grants players some really cool rewards, such as unique Corridor Creeper mount which is the only mount that allows plyers to ride in the Maw, Spirestalker title, Helm of the Dominated toy, Death Seeker pet and some Stygia. Soul Ash is not awarded for completion of the Twisting Corridords though. Please note that during the first few weeks Torghast will be time-gated with only limited amount of layers available to complete.
