A stone Altar of Lilith with spread wings and a glowing red light in its hands on a snowy mountain path in Diablo 4

Updated: October 6, 2026

Diablo 4 Altars of Lilith: All 160 Locations with Maps

Altars of Lilith are small stone statues of Lilith tucked away all over the base game map of Diablo 4. There are 160 of them, spread across the five regions you know from the campaign. Plenty sit off the main road, on a ledge or at the end of a side path, which is why a map saves you a lot of riding in circles.

Below you'll find a map for every region, how many altars each one has, what an altar gives you today and a simple plan to clear your list.

Altars of Lilith at a glance

  • How many: 160 in Fractured Peaks, Scosglen, Kehjistan, Dry Steppes and Hawezar.
  • What you get: the first time you find a statue, a little gold, a few gem fragments, some Murmuring Obols and a bit of experience.
  • What you don't get: permanent stats or Paragon Points. Those rewards are gone.
  • Renown: on the Eternal Realm each altar adds to the region's Renown. On the Seasonal Realm your extra Skill and Paragon Points come from Season Rank.
  • How to activate: walk up to the statue and interact with it. Passing by is not enough.

What an altar gives you now

Since patch 2.5, an Altar of Lilith no longer makes your characters stronger for good. Your first visit to each statue pays out a small bundle of gold, gem fragments and Murmuring Obols, and Blizzard adds some experience on top. That's nice to pick up while you explore, but it's no reason to plan your season around them.

Eternal Realm Seasonal Realm
First discovery Gold, gem fragments, Murmuring Obols, some experience Gold, gem fragments, Murmuring Obols, some experience
Renown Counts toward the region's Renown. Guides list 10 Renown per altar in these five regions. Renown only stays permanent on the Eternal Realm. The power it used to give comes from Season Rank.
Permanent stats or Paragon Points No No

On a seasonal character, more Skill or Paragon Points come from the Season Rank screen and its challenges. A full altar sweep adds no power there.

How to read the maps

  • Red Lilith icons are the altars. Blue icons are waypoints, your best starting points.
  • Each map is a rectangle, so a few red icons along the edges belong to the next region over. The count in the table above is what matters for each region.
  • Your own in-game map won't help you find them. Players report that an altar only appears on it after you activate it, so a blank spot doesn't mean there's nothing there.
  • Track your progress in game. Open the map and check the region's progress: it shows how many altars you have found out of the total. Look at that altar count, not at your Renown.

These maps were drawn at launch. Their counts match the location databases players use today, but we haven't walked every single marker again this season. If one spot comes up empty, move on to the next and come back to it later.

Fractured Peaks: 28 altars

The snowy starting region. Good starting points are the city of Kyovashad in the middle of the map and the village of Nevesk. Many statues here hide on cliff ledges and narrow mountain paths, so when an icon seems to float next to a rock wall, follow the path around until you find the way up.

Scosglen: 34 altars

Scosglen has woods and coastline linked by winding trails. Trees and cliffs block your view a lot here, so don't expect to spot a statue from far away. Clear one half of the region, then switch to the other, and you won't have to cross the whole map twice.

Kehjistan: 31 altars

A big desert with long open stretches between the groups of statues. Teleport to the waypoint closest to a group, clear it, then hop to the next waypoint instead of riding the full width of the sands.

Dry Steppes: 33 altars

Canyons and forks in the road. An icon that looks close can sit on the far side of a rock wall, and then the way in is often from another direction. Plan a loop through the region so you don't ride the same long road twice.

Hawezar: 34 altars

In the swamps of Hawezar the paths twist around water, so two icons that look close on the map can be a long walk apart. Start at a waypoint, sweep the statues around it, and move on to the next waypoint.

Save time on the hunt

  • One region at a time. Pick the region with the most missing altars and finish it before you move on.
  • Waypoints first. Teleport close, clear the group, teleport again. Riding across a region is the slow part.
  • Check after every group. A quick look at the region's progress shows whether you really activated each statue.
  • Combine it. Grab nearby statues while you're out for Helltide, Whispers or a dungeon in the same area.

Altars you can't reach yet

A few statues sit in places that open up later, for example inside a stronghold or in an area your story progress unlocks. Players have pointed out such spots in Fractured Peaks and Kehjistan, among others. If you can't get to an icon however you approach it, note it down and come back once you've cleared the stronghold or progressed the story there. You don't need to plan your whole route around these few.

Not part of the 160

The expansion regions have their own collectibles: Nahantu has the Tenets of Akarat, and Skovos has the Chronicles of Creation. They have their own counters, so leave them out when you check whether you've found all 160 Altars of Lilith.

Quick plan for all 160 altars

  1. Check your progress: open the map and see which of the five regions still has altars missing.
  2. Pick one region and open its map from this guide on a second screen or your phone.
  3. Teleport to a waypoint next to a group of red icons.
  4. Activate every statue in the group and confirm the count went up.
  5. Move to the next waypoint until the region shows all of its altars.
  6. Write down any spot you can't reach and return after the stronghold or story step that opens it.

Conclusion

Altars of Lilith no longer add power, so treat them as an exploration goal. Each one pays a small reward the first time, and on the Eternal Realm they fill up your Renown. With the five maps, the waypoints and a quick look at your progress after each group, the full 160 are very doable.

If you'd rather skip the riding, our Diablo 4 Altars of Lilith service gets the ones you're missing in the regions you choose.

The first time you find a statue you get a small amount of gold, gem fragments and Murmuring Obols, plus some experience. On the Eternal Realm it also adds to that region's Renown.

On the Eternal Realm, yes: each altar adds to the Renown of its region, and guides list 10 Renown per altar. Renown only stays permanent on the Eternal Realm.

Players report that an altar only shows up on your map after you activate it. Use the region maps in this guide to find the ones you're missing and check the region's progress on your map to see how many you have.

Some statues sit in places that open later, such as a stronghold or an area your story progress unlocks. Note the spot and come back once that area is open.

No. The Tenets of Akarat in Nahantu and the Chronicles of Creation in Skovos are separate collectibles with their own counters.
