Get ready for the launch of Phase 2 of WoW Cataclysm Classic on July 30, 2024.
Cataclysm Classic will be released in four phases throughout 2024 and into early 2025. Below is a roadmap of the content you can expect in each phase:

What's New in Phase 2: A Quick Overview

New Quests: The Troll Empires
The Troll Empires, some of Azeroth's oldest civilizations, are uniting under the Zandalari tribe. Dive into the Rise of the Zandalari questline to explore the history of the Troll tribes and the rebirth of their empire.
Vol'jin has launched a covert operation, sending Darkspear delegates to call adventurers in Stormwind and Orgrimmar to tackle new threats from the Stranglethorn jungles.
To stop the growing Gurubashi and Amani troll forces from causing chaos in Azeroth, Vol'jin has called on his Horde allies and the Alliance for help. Players will tackle level-85 solo quests to combat the menacing Gurubashi tribe, now allied with the Zandalari.
Team up with Darkspear spirit-talker Bwemba, track legendary hunter Hemet Nesingwary, and face new bosses in the Zul'Gurub jungles. Completing these challenges earns an adorable panther pet. Start your adventure at Orgrimmar or Stormwind Harbor.
New Heroic Dungeons: Zul'Gurub & Zul'Aman
Zul'Gurub & Zul'Aman: Two Heroic dungeons return, offering fresh challenges and rewards. These dungeons will be in a separate Heroic difficulty tier in the Dungeon Finder, higher than the existing Cataclysm Heroic dungeons. Gather your party and prepare to face the fierce foes within Zul'Gurub and Zul'Aman for earning item level 353 epic-quality loot.
Important Requirements: Both dungeons require players to have a minimum item level of 346 to enter. They are part of a higher tier in the Dungeon Finder, offering level 353 epic gear, including hard-to-find items like bracers, helms, and guns.
Zul'Gurub
Zul'Gurub returns as a level-85, 5-player Heroic dungeon with updated challenges and mechanics. This ancient battleground is defended by the empowered Gurubashi tribe and the mighty Zandalari.
Here's a list of the bosses and what you can expect when you face them:
- High Priest Venoxis: Fiercely guards his territory.
- Broodlord Mandokir: Also a tough defender of his domain.
Defeating these bosses will earn you a treasure map that leads to valuable loot, including a massive, account-bound gem ring.
If you're skilled in Archaeology, prepare for more excitement. Unlocking an extra boss could bring your group face-to-face with one of four unique enemies: Gri'lek, Renataki, Hazza'rah, or Wushoolay, each offering special epic-quality loot.
Step into Zul'Gurub, test your mettle against seasoned foes, and uncover hidden secrets and rewards!
Zul'Aman
With Zandalari support, the Amani tribe, led by Daakara, has revamped Zul'Aman into a tough level-85, 5-player Heroic dungeon.
Even if you've fought Zul'jin in The Burning Crusade, you'll find new mechanics tailored for 5 players.

New Rare Mounts Rewards
Just like in the original raids, Phase 2 offers the chance to earn some unique mounts.

Defeating all 4 bosses within the allotted time limit can be challenging, but the Amani Battle Bear is a truly rare and worthwhile mount. However, everything can be easier with our Cata Amani Battle Bear Boost.
Dungeon Finder Update
Phase 2 of Cataclysm Classic brings an update to the Dungeon Finder tool with the Call to Arms feature. This helps balance dungeon queues by rewarding players who choose underrepresented roles like tanks or healers.
How it works: When roles like tanks or healers are in short supply, a "Call to Arms" icon will show up in the Dungeon Finder UI.
Rewards
Players who queue alone for these roles and complete the dungeon will receive a Satchel of Exotic Mysteries.
This satchel may include:
- Gold
- Rare gems
- Flasks/Potions
- Non-combat pets
- Dungeon drop mounts
This update makes it more rewarding to fill essential roles in dungeons.
