Temporal Sanctum guide

Видео и текст

Last Epoch offers players a variety of diverse gameplay content, including endgame activities beyond the main storyline. Exploring dungeons is a significant part of the endgame content, where you can discover unique items to enhance your character. The Temporal Sanctum is the first dungeon introduced in Last Epoch and remains one of the most valuable ones, granting access to the legendary item crafting system.

Now, let's delve into all aspects of completing this dungeon, which forms the foundation of our Last Epoch Temporal Sanctum Boost service.

How to get access to enter the dungeon?

To enter the dungeon, you need to find a Temporal Sanctum Key. These keys drop randomly and can appear after defeating enemies, Timeline Bosses or in the Arena. Once you have find the coveted key, head to the entrance of the dungeon located on the Ruined Coast immediately after defeating Ortra'ek the Survivor. If you're in a party with another player, entering the dungeon is possible even if only one of you possesses the dungeon key.

And finally, you have reached the Temporal Sanctum, which serves as the shelter of Chronomancer Julra. She experimented with the Eternity Cache for an endless amount of time, and her approach led to the fabric of time itself tearing apart. Therefore, Julra needs to be found and confronted before she further distorts the temporal boundaries. This is the main storyline motivation that unveils the essence of the place where you are.

Dungeon Difficulty

The dungeon's difficulty depends on the Tiers and Modifiers. Dungeons have 4 Tiers, with the first one available by default. After completing a dungeon, the next Tier unlocks, and so on. Higher Tiers mean higher-level enemies, making them more powerful.

Any tier of Dungeon beyond tier 1 has a modifier attached to it. This modifier changes daily. Modifiers offer rewards but increase difficulty by adding damage and health to enemies. Each dungeon floor adds a modifier, making the next floor more challenging. Here is an example of a modifier.

Keep in mind that if you die in this dungeon, you'll lose all progress and will need to use a new key to start again.

Dungeon exploration

In this dungeon, you'll encounter a unique gameplay mechanic closely tied to Julra experiments. The Temporal Shift ability becomes available after entering the dungeon. It allows players to move between the Divine Era and the Ruined Era at will, essential for overcoming various obstacles and roadblocks along the way. Thanks to Julra's experimentation with time, players get to feel like time travelers with complete control over time and space.

The dungeon's structure remains consistent, featuring two map sections and an arena with a boss. Additionally, each map exists in two versions, structurally identical but potentially differing in the placement of obstacles. If you're interested, you can fully explore both approaches by switching between the two timelines using Temporal Shift. Or, you can use Temporal Shift to navigate the dungeons more quickly, avoiding obstacles and enemies along your way.

Temporal Sanctum enemies

During your journey, you may encounter various foes, each with their unique combat style and abilities. To ensure these encounters are not unexpected and you are well-prepared, we will showcase what you'll face and help you get ready.

Void Nightmares. The name perfectly describes their appearance, and despite looking threatening, they aren't too dangerous if you know how to dodge their attacks. These enemies have only two moves in their arsenal, making them quite predictable. During the first move, the enemy starts charging towards the player, dealing physical and void damage. In the second move, the enemy charges up and shoots a beam at the player, causing significant void damage. Both moves have a telltale sign, allowing you time to dodge. When preparing for the first move, the enemy leans forward slightly, and when gearing up for the second, its head starts glowing.

Void Husk Nagasa. This is a special type of snake-like creature that you can encounter only in the Ruined Era. The common versions are not particularly dangerous, dealing regular Void Damage.

However, the rare ones are much more perilous as they unleash a Putrefying Beam, causing Void Damage over time. It's highly recommended to avoid their attacks.

Gorgon. Another snake-like creature, and what sets this foe apart is that when this big snake retreats, it creates a tornado that inflicts gradual poison damage.

The longer the tornado persists, the larger it becomes. The straightforward advice here is to avoid stepping into the tornado, and you'll handle it easily.

Temporal Hunter. These are small snakes that are easy to defeat, but be cautious when they gather in packs, as each snake's attack applies 5 stacks of poison, making their attacks deadly when in large numbers.

Festering Cultist. They look like creepy crawlers with long spider-like legs, somewhat resembling a scorpion. They are quite formidable in close combat, capable of dealing significant damage, breaking through armor, and reducing Void resistance. It's not advisable to engage them directly; it's better to keep a safe distance.

Here were introduced the enemies you may encounter in the Temporal Sanctum. Knowing their abilities will provide you with a better understanding of how to run safely through the dungeon.

Defeating the Boss Julra

Finally, let's talk about the main challenge in this dungeon – Chronomancer Julra. Just a reminder, she's been messing around with time, so this fight won't be easy. The trickiest part is that she can use any skill at any time, making it almost impossible to predict her moves.

Julra's attacks deal different types of damage, so make sure your resistances to lightning, cold, and void are solid. The fight gets even tougher because you'll need to use Temporal Shift to dodge attacks or skills specific to a certain Era. Be careful not to overuse this ability, as it can make the fight even harder. For your convenience, we've listed Julra's abilities below to help you prepare better.

This Julra skill will make the game harder if you use Temporal Shift to switch between eras often. When you move, the boss activates a skill that creates dimensional rifts. These rifts will follow you for a while and stay on the ground until the end of the fight. So, don't switch between timelines too often.

It's essential to avoid standing on the rifts because they deal significant void damage. If you do need to switch, it's best to move to the edge of the arena right away so the rifts stay in one place.

This skill can make your character run around. The boss summons 4 beams in the center of the arena that deal high Void damage. The beams rotate clockwise, but there's a gap between them to dodge. The main challenge isn't dodging these beams, but that the boss will keep attacking you with other abilities.

The boss summons three pillars onto the battlefield during the fight. These pillars exist in both eras but function differently. In the Divine Era, they are harmless and can be destroyed. In the Ruined Era, they become invulnerable and release Lightning Bolts in various directions, dealing Lightning Damage and causing a Shock effect. To destroy these pillars in the Divine Era, you'll need to use Temporal Shift. Keep in mind that using Temporal Shift will open dimensional rifts after moving.

Julra summons a fountain that heals her. The healing isn't substantial, but if the fight drags on, it can be a problem.

The boss shoots a small but fast projectile towards the player. The attack isn't very dangerous, and it's easy to dodge. Before the shot, the ground in the projectile's direction starts glowing.

One of the deadliest attacks, Julra initiates the battle with this move. A set of clocks appears on the battlefield, and time starts ticking around them. When the clocks reach 12 o'clock, a powerful explosion sweeps across the entire arena, dealing significant Void damage. The only way to evade this attack is by using Temporal Shift. At Tier 4, this attack can nearly one-shot anyone, so exercise caution.

This is a cone attack that the boss prepares before striking, indicating the attack area to the player. It deals Сold damage and inflicts Chill.

Julra shoots three projectiles that track the player, making it impossible to dodge the attack. However, it inflicts low cold damage.

Julra launches an electric bomb that, upon landing, creates a circle of lightning on the ground, dealing damage. It's easy to dodge this attack, but sometimes the boss may perform a larger version of it, with a bigger circle and increased damage.

Dungeon Rewards

From the boss Julra Chronomancer, you can obtain unique rewards such as: Julras Stardial, Somnia, Julra's Obsession, Vessel of Strife.

Access to the ability to craft Legendary items. After defeating the boss, you'll gain access to a door leading to the Eternal Cache. There, you'll be able to craft items with Legendary potential.

Guide Summary

Now that you know all information about Temporal Sanctum and all possible attacks of the Chronomancer Julra boss , defeating her will become easier. Nevertheless, it remains a very hard challenge that may not always be worth the time investment. Also, keep in mind that you only have one attempt in the dungeon. Upon death, all items and progress will be lost, and you'll need to find a new key to unlock the dungeon and start over.
