Gear Score Boost Explained
Gear Score (GS) in New World plays a crucial role when it comes to PvE or open world
PvP
. Your character's damage output to
enemies and the total amount of Attributes available for customizing your gameplay build directly rely on your
Gear Score level, on your
Weapon
Mastery
and full upgraded Artifacts. At
Level 65
, you will have access to 220
basic Attribute Points, while additional attributes will be dependent on your Gear Score level. For
instance, an item with a 625 Gear Score will provide 31 Attribute Points, while an item with the maximum 700 GS will
grant 38 AP.
Gear Score is accumulated by engaging in various game activities, from slaying elite mobs in the open world
(for example, participating in so-called Elite Chest Runs), or through multiple runs in expeditions. The
higher your Gear Score, the higher the level of expedition difficulty you can access. For example, a second-level
mutation at Hard difficulty becomes accessible at 675 GS, and for a maximum 3rd level mutation at
Elite difficulty, you'll need to have 700 GS. Therefore, by using our Gear Score Boost service,
you not only enhance your character's strength but also unlock access to engaging all the
New World high-end content
.
If you don't want to grind basic easy content and want to jump right into mutations, I'd say go for the 650 Gear
Score Boost and start with intermediate-level mutations. This level is easy enough to start with
mutations, but not too easy to be boring. From what I've seen, to get your GS from 650 to 675 and move from
intermediate to hard mutations, you'll just need to do 15-20 runs in expeditions on intermediate difficulty. If you
are a few levels short of the required level for access to the mutation, you can always purchase some missing gear
items on the Trading Post using Coins.
Attributes Explained
At level 65, you have access to 220 basic attribute points. Additionally, each piece of armor or weapon (except for
shields) provides you with extra attribute points that you can distribute among 5 types of attributes, such as
Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Focus, and Constitution. Moreover, in the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion, a new
universal attribute called Magnify was added. Magnify boosts whichever primary attribute of yours has the highest
value. For instance, if your primary attribute is Strength and it has the highest value among your attributes, then
Magnify will also increase the Strength indicator. The Magnify attribute can only be found on items such as Artifacts.
The number of attributes at different Gear Score levels
- At level 65, you have access to 220 basic attributes.
- 600 GS items have 30 AP, and a full 600 Gear gives 300 Attribute Points.
- 625 GS items have 31 AP, and a full 625 Gear gives 310 Attribute Points.
- 650 GS items have 33 AP, and a full 650 Gear gives 330 Attribute Points.
- 675 GS items have 35 AP, and a full 675 Gear gives 350 Attribute Points.
- 700 GS items have 38 AP, and a full 700 Gear gives 380 Attribute Points.
