The Nerub'ar Palace Raid Overview and Location
Located in the kingdom of Azj-Kahet, Nerub'ar Palace is ruled by Queen Ansurek. There is a convenient flight point in the center of the city, making it easily accessible.
The final boss, Queen Ansurek, is a powerful leader who works with Xal'atath, the Harbinger. Beating her will need perfect teamwork and strategy from your raid group. Defeating bosses on harder levels like Heroic and Mythic needs a lot of skill and endurance.
She commands the Sureki followers from her shadowed throne, facing threats from the Severed Threads faction within her realm. As her paranoia deepens, the Severed Threads, a conspiratorial faction within her realm, make their final move to overthrow her.
The task is not easy: You will need to defeat 8 bosses on Normal, Heroic, or Mythic difficulty. If you find anything too hard, we can help you. A Difficulty Modifier Buff has also been added.
Difficulty Modifier Buff
The Severed Strands is an optional buff that players can pick up to adjust the raid's difficulty. By collecting Nerub'ar Finery from raid bosses, players can stack Severed Strands up to 15 times, providing a +45% boost to damage and healing. This buff allows for a more customizable raid experience, catering to both casual and hardcore players.
The Great Vault
The Great Vault returns in The War Within with more rewards and fun. Defeating bosses in Nerub'ar Palace at any difficulty level helps you complete your weekly objectives. The more you complete, the better your chances of getting awesome item level loot and gold from Nerub'ar Palace when you choose your weekly bonus in the Great Vault.
Story Mode
Story Mode in The War Within lets you explore Nerub'ar Palace’s story without the challenge of tough gameplay.
- You can play Story Mode with just 1 to 10 players. This flexibility allows players to enjoy the story at their own pace, without the need for big forming raid parties.
- Right now, Story Mode is only available in Nerub'ar Palace. It’s a special chance to dive into the lore of Azj-Kahet without dealing with the usual raid difficulties.
- We don’t have all the details on gear scaling yet, but Story Mode is designed to be engaging and story-driven, rather than focusing on high-level challenges.
- Story Mode will unlock when the final wing of Nerub'ar Palace is added to the Raid Finder. It’s a new way to enjoy the epic story and detailed raid design of The War Within.
