Adventures represent a solo gameplay mode within Hearthstone, where players engage in thematic matches against AI-controlled adversaries. These are accessible from the main menu via the Solo Adventures screen. Adventures provide a distinctive Hearthstone experience by focusing on a central theme, complete with heroes, special cards, artwork, and music that align with the adventure's setting. Some cards and mechanics introduced in adventures are exclusive to this mode, offering fresh gameplay elements.
Gameplay and Features
Players have the option to tackle adventures on two levels of difficulty: Normal or Heroic. All adventures are conducted in the Wild format, allowing for any card from a player's collection to be used. Cards unique to an adventure are part of a special card set, which players can acquire by defeating bosses and completing Class Challenges within the adventure.
Currently, there are five adventures available in the game:
One Night in Karazhan

Overview: Features 13 bosses over four wings and an introductory encounter

Content: Includes 45 new collectible cards, a unique battlefield, and two card backs. The adventure offers a challenging Heroic mode and 9 Class Challenges.
The League of Explorers

Overview: Consists of 4 wings and 13 boss battles.

Content: Introduces a new encounter type, emphasizing survival through various traps and events. Adds 45 collectible cards, new card backs, and two battlefields.
Blackrock Mountain

Overview: Set within Blackrock Mountain, hosting 5 wings with 17 boss encounters.

Content: Adds 31 collectible cards, new card backs, and a battlefield, alongside a Heroic mode and 9 Class Challenges.
Curse of Naxxramas

Overview: A five-wing adventure based on the World of Warcraft Naxxramas raid.

Galakrond’s Awakening

Hearthstone Solo Missions: A New Challenge
In contrast to Adventures, which featured unique cards locked behind various challenges and thus required a Normal mode accessible to most players, Missions in Hearthstone introduce a singular difficulty level. This design allows for the creation of significantly more challenging encounters. Notably, The Dalaran Heist reintroduced both Normal and Heroic modes, offering varied levels of challenge. The difficulty of Missions generally surpasses that of Adventure's Normal mode, with some encounters nearing the intensity of Heroic difficulty. These Missions are crafted to challenge veteran players while remaining enjoyable for all skill levels.
