Mage Tower Timewalking - revamped Legion content to challenge even the most experienced players
Same old crazy 7 Mage Tower Challenges are there waiting for you to test your skills, mastery, gear and patience, especially patience, as you will need a lot of it to complete some of the challenges for some classes and specs. In this guide we will discuss how to complete all 7 Mage Tower challenges to unlock some awesome rewards.
Closing the Eye
Closing the Eye mage tower class challenge is created for your Frost Death Knight, Havoc Demon Hunter, Survival Hunter, Subtlety Rogue and Arms Warrior. In Closing the Eye you fight Archmage Xylem in the Eye and prevent him from fully obtaining the power of the Focusing Iris. Back in the days, you could use Prydaz Legion legendary which helped a lot on this fight, but now with Mage Tower Timewalking you can't use any Legendary items to cheese the encounter. This challenge will test your cooldown usage, mobility and crowd control skills, as well as ability to stay alive and deal damage during specific phases. You will most likely need some healing or mitigation talents for Rogue, Death Knight or Warrior, and probably better than average gear for your Demon Hunter and Hunter. Rely on our team and we will complete Closing the Eye for your char on EU or US server.
The God-Queen's Fury
The God-Queen's Fury is the test for your Arcane Mage, Assassination Rogue, Enhancement Shaman, Retribution Paladin and Demonology Warlock specs. This challenge will test your your ability to deal several threats and enemies at the same time, but none of them will make you struggle during this challenge if handled carefully. Just stick to cc (crowd control) talents to control Sygrin and, if possible, dot cleave abilities as all 3 enemies share same hp bar. And of course, always use consumes which may help you complete this Mage Tower Challenge faster whether you are using focusing tactics and tunnel dps one target or multi dotting them all to death.
An Impossible Foe
An Impossible Foe is a Mage Tower Class challenge for such classes and specs: Unholy Death Knight, Fire Mage, Feral Druid, Outlaw Rogue, Elemental Shaman and Fury Warrior. Back in Legion this challenge were also a lot easier with Prydaz Legendary, but now things got more complicated. Imp Mother Agatha will test not only your ability to kill priority targets, but also your surviving skills by dodging different mechanics she will throw at you, but guess what? You will have to handle both things at the same time! Though no worries, we can make it possible for your character on US or EU server, you can just contact us and we will estimate what's missing for your char and help you complete Mage Tower Challenge.
Feltotem's Fall
Feltotem's Fall is yet another challenge, this time for your Beast Master Hunter, Windwalker Monk, Discipline Priest and Destruction Warlock specs. Remember that giant worm which used to insta kill you when you were tunneling Tugar Bloodtotem and didn't look under your feets? He's back to test your focus, reactions, survivability and, of course, dps. And because when you kill one of the bosses, the second one enrages and deals 150% more damage, we advise you to kill Tugar Bloodtotem first as he's more dangerous and can easily kill you when enraged. Only after that you can deal with nasty worm to complete the challenge.
End of the Risen Threat
End of the Risen Threat is the challenge for Holy Priest, Restoration Druid, Mistweaver Monk, Holy Paladin and Restoration Shaman. And, as you probably already guessed, it is the one and only Mage Tower Challenge for healers. You will party up with 4 other npcs and run upwards through the Black Rook Hold to defeat Lord Erdris Thorn. This challenge will test not only your ability to pump some big heals to keep your party alive, but also surviving and dodging different mechanics and helping out your group in killing and crowd controlling priority targets by using all the tools your class has to offer. All npcs must get alive till the end of challenge, otherwise the challenge is failed and you have to start over. And if you still struggle with the challenge, you know what to do.
Thwarting the Twins
Thwarting the Twins is made for the following classes and specs: Frost Mage, Balance Druid, Marksman Hunter, Shadow Priest and Affliction Warlock. Back in Legion this challenge was somewhat merciful since it did not require any special legendary items to successfully complete it. But this time, you will have to sweat a bit, as this challenge will test your kiting skills and the ability to deal top dps while handling different mechanics. Focus on your highest dps builds, try to collect the best possible gear with sockets, and use all consumables you can get, as the faster you beat the challenge, the lower chances to fail on side mechanics. In the last phase of encounter, you need to kill Raest Magespear to win it.
The Highlord's Return
The Highlord's Return is the last Mage Tower challenge in our chart and it is specially designed for tanks: Blood Death Knight, Vengeance Demon Hunter, Guardian Druid, Brewmaster Monk, Protection Paladin and Protection Warrior. This challenge have sent hundreds of players to space on their burning chairs because this is the hardest Mage Tower Challenge period! Not only will it test your patience and willpower to continue after another XXX try, but also hell lot of your other skills: surviving tons of damage, dodging some crazy one-shot mechanics, monitoring your debuff stacks, killing adds by outputing absolutely insane amount of damage etc. Even though you will have Velen to periodically help you out with some healing orbs, the hardest job is still left for you to finish - defeat the Highlord Kruul. When it's done you won the Challenge. Best of luck with that!
