Bountiful vs Regular Delves โ One Matters, the Other Doesn't
This single distinction defines whether your weekly Delve time produces real gear or vendor trash. Regular Delve loot stops scaling after Tier 3 and the gear can't be upgraded โ running regular Tier 7 gives identical end-of-run rewards to Tier 3, just harder for zero extra value. But the Tier 8 player also fills all three Vault world-row slots, generates more total Delver's Journey points and doesn't risk losing Bountiful Coffer access by burning revives on content that's harder for no gearing benefit. Volume at the right difficulty beats peak difficulty with low volume โ the exact same principle that applies to M+ gearing.
Valeera Setup Matters More Than Most Players Realize
Delves are balanced around having Valeera Sanguinar as your companion. She's not a bonus โ she's a design assumption. The mode's difficulty at Tier 8+ expects her support, and going in with wrong Curio setup or mismatched role is like entering M+ with wrong talents.
What we've found running Delves daily across hundreds of accounts: most classes perform best with Valeera on Healer role at Tier 8+ because the death limit is what actually gates your rewards. Losing Bountiful Coffer access because you ran out of revives at 80% boss health is worse than a slightly slower clear with safer healing.
