Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War Zombie Camouflages and how to unlock them

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War offers players additional skins from the zombie mode in addition to weapon attachments and multiplayer camouflages.  There are 35 different skins per weapon that are tied to the weapon level and different tasks in Zombie mode and are divided into 8 categories. The first 7 categories are 5 base camouflages each and the last 3 very special camos that can only be obtained by the most experienced and committed players.

Basic camouflage categories

Basic camouflage types are: Grunge, Liquid, Brushstroke, Vintage, Fauna, Topography and Infection. These categories are unlocked by leveling the respective weapon. As soon as a category is unlocked, you have to deal with different challenges in order to get the associated 5 Camos. Depending on the weapon class, the tasks for certain skins may differ slightly, but remain unchanged within the class.

Golden Viper, Plague Diamond and Dark Aether

The last category is called "Mastery" and will only be unlocked when all the camouflage challenges listed above have been completed for respective weapon. „Mastery“ gives you access to 3 very special skins that require maximum skill to be unlocked:

Golden Viper: Available once all camouflage challenges for each weapon have been completed.

Plague Diamond: Available as soon as the gold camouflage has been activated for each weapon from a weapon class (except DLC weapons). So if you want to have a platinum skin for your FFAR 1, you have to unlock the gold camo for all Assault Rifles (except DLC weapons) to get it.

Dark Aether: Available as soon as the Plague Diamond camouflage for all weapons from all classes is unlocked (except DLC weapons). Nope, you're not reading that wrong:! : D If you want to have Dark Aether Camo, you have to complete every single camo challenge for every single weapon in the game.

Unlocking the „Mastery“ Skins is tricky and can take a long time. If you don't have the time, let us know, the experienced professional players from MMOnster will be happy to do it for you.
