Keys and Hoards
Lair Keys in Diablo 4 open the Hoard that appears after you defeat a Lair Boss. You can fight the boss without a key, but the loot sits in the Hoard, and every player in a party opens their own Hoard with their own keys. One set of keys never covers the whole group.
In Season 15, a Mythic Unique from Varshan, Duriel or any other boss of the first two key types comes only from that boss's own Unique pool. Rewards you select from Belial's Hoard follow the same rule. So pick the boss whose pool holds the item you want, and bring keys for that Hoard.
If you want help with the fights as well, Diablo 4 Boss Runs include the keys.
FAQ
One key opens one Hoard: a Lair Key or a Greater Lair Key for the Lair Bosses, one Superior Lair Key for Belial and one Crux of the False Prophet for Echo of Mephisto.
No. The boss decides which key you need. Torment changes the difficulty and the rewards, not the key type.
No. We trade the keys to your character in the game and only need your BattleTag to meet you.
