Diablo 4 Helltide Reputation Farm: the Season 15 Group Trick
In Season 15, reputation is how your Prime Evil power gets its upgrades. Every rank on the track brings a reward, and once the track is done, every 50,000 extra reputation gives you another cache. Those caches can hold a Splinter, so the faster your reputation goes up, the more chances you get.
Reputation comes from killing things, mostly elites and the big packs inside Helltide ruptures. Solo, you can only kill as fast as your build allows. To speed that up, fill your Helltide with other players, because a crowded Helltide has more going on and everything dies faster.
Quick version
- Where: Pandemonium Ruptures inside the Helltide, ideally a few close to each other or right next to a local event.
- When: at the start of the hour, when a new Helltide begins and lots of players are looking for a group.
- How: list a Helltide group in the Party Finder, let it fill up, then leave and list a new one, so even more players end up in your Helltide.
- On the side: finish Whispers and local events in the open world, because they can call up a Prime Evil ambush that drops Splinters.
- Difficulty: pick the Torment level where elites die in seconds, not the highest one you can survive.
Short on time for the grind? Farm reputation with a booster: for the hours you book, a booster with a strong character plays next to you and you clear the Helltide together. The rest of this guide is the route you can run yourself.
What reputation gives you
In Season 15 you carry the power of one Prime Evil, and that choice also decides which reputation track you fill. Diablo's track goes with the Splinter of Terror, Baal's with Destruction and Mephisto's with Hatred. Only one is active at a time, so the reputation you earn goes into the power you're using right now. If you're still choosing, here's how the reputation track works and what each Prime Evil is good at.
The track has its own ranks with rewards along the way, and the upgrades for your power sit on it too. After the last reward, the track keeps counting: each 50,000 reputation on top opens one more cache. What's inside is random. A cache can drop a Splinter of any of the three Prime Evils, but you can't pick which one, and plenty of caches give none at all. So count every cache as one more shot at a Splinter. Nobody knows the drop chance yet.
You'll hear that the Helltide only gives reputation if you carry Diablo's power. Players running Baal or Mephisto farm their tracks in the Helltide too, so pick the power you want to grow. Diablo's power just makes the Helltide itself stronger.
Ruptures: where the reputation is
Pandemonium Ruptures are back inside the Helltide this season, and players report farming their reputation there. You start one by killing the guardians next to a Death's Head Idol. A ring opens, waves of monsters pour in, and the rupture stays open as long as you keep killing and closing the Tears inside it. Some players call them Chaos Rifts, but it's the same thing.
A rupture packs a lot of elites into one place, so you get plenty of kills without walking. The plan is to stay in ruptures and walk as little as possible between them:
- Look for two or three ruptures close to each other, so you can go from one ring to the next.
- A rupture next to a local event, like Waves of Darkness, is even better, because you finish the event while you fight the waves.
- Skip anything far away. A long walk across the map costs more reputation than the one rupture is worth.
Need a refresher on the Helltide itself, Cinders, chests and the Blood Maiden? That's all in our Helltide guide.
Small portals also pop up in the open world while you farm, and they're worth a quick detour. Behind one of them, the Cornerstone of the World, players find Treasure Goblins and sometimes a rainbow portal to Whimsyshire.
The group trick, step by step
You only see a few of the players who are farming the same Helltide, because the game splits everyone into separate copies of the zone. Who ends up in your copy is mostly luck. The Party Finder lets you take that luck out of it: players who join your party usually land in your Helltide, and players report that a full copy spawns noticeably more ruptures than a quiet one.
- Be in the Helltide when it starts. A new Helltide opens every hour on the hour, and that's when lots of players look for a group.
- Open the Party Finder and list a Helltide group. You don't need a voice chat or a plan, the players just need to be there.
- Scout while it fills. Find your cluster of ruptures, or start the first one near a local event, so you're already fighting when people arrive.
- Leave and list again. Once the party is full, leave it and create a new listing. The first group usually stays in your Helltide, and the next one brings even more players into it. We'd stop after two or three rounds, because by then the zone is busy enough and every extra round eats your own fighting time.
- Stay where the fight is. Reputation comes from enemies you help kill. Players on the other side of the map won't fill your track, so play in the rupture next to them.
What can go wrong
- Sometimes the game moves you to another copy of the Helltide after you leave a party. If the zone suddenly goes quiet, list a new group right away.
- A packed Helltide can lag. If it gets unplayable, leave one group and let the zone calm down.
- Solo Self-Found characters can't join parties, so this trick doesn't work for them.
- Players report the trick working as of October 11, 2026, but nothing guarantees it. Blizzard hasn't said anything about it, so a later patch may change how parties and Helltide copies work.
You'll also see big reputation-per-minute numbers in videos. We don't trust any single figure, because it depends on the build, the crowd and the luck with ruptures. Players do report faster progress in crowded Helltides, though, and in our view the crowd matters more than the War Plan you pick.
Splinters on the way, step by step
The same loop that fills your reputation track can bring you Splinters. While you carry a Prime Evil power, finishing an objective in the open world can summon an echo of that Prime Evil, and beating it gives you a shot at a Splinter. Players report echoes dropping all three types, so Diablo's echo can still bring you the Hatred you're missing. This is the loop we'd run:
- Stay in the open world. Players see ambushes from Whispers and local events out in the zones. Dungeons, cellars and Lair bosses haven't summoned any in their tests, so don't count on them.
- Pick the big Whispers. The more Grim Favors a Whisper gives, the better its roll: data miners found a 5-Favor Whisper rolls about six times better than a 1-Favor one. The Blood Maiden at the start of a Helltide is the easiest 5 Favors you'll get, and the crowd comes to her anyway.
- Watch for the warning. A short line above your character says an echo is emerging nearby, and the spot blinks on the minimap. You get about ten seconds, which is easy to miss in a busy rupture.
- Kill it, then farm ruptures. After an ambush your next objective can't roll for about five minutes, so spend that time on reputation. Neither timer is official, so treat them as rough values.
- Turn in at 10 Grim Favors. A full counter means your Whispers stop paying, and players report that ambushes stop too. Teleport to the Tree of Whispers, take your cache and head back.
- Open every reputation cache. Each one is another roll at a Splinter on top of the ambushes.
Some players also set the Tree of Whispers War Plan to Material Wealth and Malignant Invasion for this farm. Going by their tooltips, Material Wealth makes the Tree offer only material caches, and Malignant Invasion lets Varshan show up in regular Whisper ambushes. Neither one mentions Prime Evil echoes or Splinters, so we'd take them for the materials and the extra fights, not as a proven Splinter boost. The odds for each objective are in our guide on how to farm Prime Evil Splinters from ambushes.
Farm it with a booster
Everything above works better with strong players in your Helltide, and with Hourly Driving you book one. A booster with a strong character plays next to you for the hours you choose, so the ruptures fall faster and the reputation goes on your own track, because you're fighting right there with your own character.
- One more strong player in your Helltide who doesn't drift off to another copy and clears rupture waves fast.
- You decide what the hours are for: rupture loops for reputation, Whispers and events for ambushes, or both.
- Once your track is done, switch to something else in the same booking, like gear farming or Lair bosses (bring your own keys).
- You play your own character and the booster joins with theirs, so you don't share your account. We only need your BattleTag.
You need a Seasonal Softcore character for it, since Solo Self-Found characters can't join a party.
Torment, build and War Plans
Play on the Torment level where elites die in seconds. Reputation counts kills, so a level you can barely survive pays less than one step lower where you melt every pack. Nobody has shown that higher Torment gives more reputation or more Splinters from caches. Torment X matters for the red Pinnacle bosses, not for this farm.
Your build matters too. Pick one that survives on your Torment level and keeps clearing elite packs, then stay with the group and fight in the same rupture. Don't count on players somewhere else in the Helltide to fill your track.
War Plans for Helltide and Whispers are a nice extra and you should set them up if you have them. Just don't spend your first minutes in the Helltide on them: a full group and a good cluster of ruptures come first.
Be in the Helltide at the start of the hour, fill it through the Party Finder, stay in ruptures next to each other and pick up the ambushes on the way. If you'd rather skip the grind, book a booster for the hours you need and farm the track together.
