Your Voidwalker holds the enemy while your spells tick, and your drains pull health back to you.
Very little downtime: Life Tap for mana, Drain Life and later Siphon Life for health.
Enemies die slowly at first, so in short fights some of your spells go to waste.
Your demon does much of the work. You make it stronger, keep it alive with your spells and let it tank.
Very hard to kill with Demonic Embrace, Soul Link and a tougher Voidwalker.
Your own damage is lower, and a lot depends on keeping your demon alive.
You hit hard with Shadow Bolt, Immolate and Conflagrate while your demon keeps enemies off you.
Big burst with Shadowburn and Conflagrate, and Molten Skin cuts all damage you take by 10%.
Hard casting costs mana and hits push your casts back, so fight one enemy at a time early on.
You spread your damage over time spells across the whole pack and let them tick while the tank holds threat.
Strong on packs and long boss fights, and Suppression lowers all the threat you cause.
Weak on enemies that die fast, your spells need time to tick.
Your demon adds a big share of your damage while you keep your spells ticking and cast Shadow Bolt.
Strong single target damage for bosses, and Demonic Pact lets you keep a sacrifice bonus while a demon fights.
Your demon has to survive area damage, or you lose a big part of your damage.
You burst bosses with Conflagrate, Shadowburn and Incinerate and cover packs with Rain of Fire.
Great burst, and all your area spells are Destruction spells that your talents make stronger.
Weaker than Affliction when many enemies need damage over time.
You are very hard to kill: your demon takes part of every hit, and your spells wear players down.
Soul Link and Demonic Embrace let you survive far longer than other casters.
Your burst is low, and a dead demon costs you a lot.
You stack damage over time spells on everyone you can reach, slow them with Curse of Exhaustion and drain health back.
Constant pressure while you move, and Siphon Life and Drain Life keep you standing.
Your damage needs time, so a class with burst can kill you first.
You burst players down with Conflagrate, Shadowburn and Incinerate, and Molten Skin helps you take the hits.
The most burst of the three, and with Aftermath your Conflagrate slows the target.
You rely on casts, so stuns and interrupts hurt you more.
Affliction is the smoothest start, Demonology lets your demon do more of the work and Destruction trades safety for burst.
Affliction is the easiest start in groups, because your spells keep ticking on the whole pack.
Demonology is the hardest to kill, because your demon takes part of every hit meant for you.
