WoW Forever Classes
WoW Forever has nine classes: Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock and Druid, with 27 specs between them. Undead can now be Paladins, Dwarves Shamans, and the new Skyborne play 6 classes. Filter by role, range and difficulty, see which races play each class and open your class guide.

Which class is played most in WoW Forever?
Blizzard has published no numbers. ClassicPlus.io's addon census of the beta counts 895,024 character records from Sep 22, 2026 to Oct 10, 2026: the Hunter leads with 15.8%, the Warlock trails with 9.0%. About a third of the beta characters play a new pair, the Undead Paladin most of all.

New in Forever
What changes for the classes in Forever
- 117 of 466 talents are new. 281 more were changed, and 14 of the 27 trees have a new top talent. Each class guide shows the new talents of its class.
- 16 new race and class pairs. Undead Paladins train in Undercity, Dwarf Shamans in Ironforge and Dun Morogh. There are no new classes.
- New abilities for single classes. Mages read scrolls with Comprehension, Rogues learn one-handed axes, Shamans get two-handed weapons without a talent, and the Druid's Cat Form comes from a class quest.

Which classes are in WoW Forever?
Nine: Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock and Druid.
Are there new classes in WoW Forever?
No. WoW Forever launches with the nine Classic classes. What is new are 16 race and class combinations, such as Undead Paladins, Dwarf Shamans and the Skyborne in six classes.
What is the most played class in WoW Forever?
There are no official numbers. In ClassicPlus.io's addon census of the beta (895,024 character records up to October 10) the Hunter leads with 15.8%, ahead of the Warrior and the Paladin. The most common pair is the Undead Paladin.
Which class is good for beginners?
Beast Mastery Hunter and Retribution Paladin forgive many mistakes. Affliction Warlock and Frost Mage are good second picks.
Which class is best for leveling?
Right now Retribution Paladin, Beast Mastery Hunter and Frost Mage. The leveling tier list shows every class. Whichever class you pick, the road to 60 is long, and WoW Forever boosting for every class can take leveling, dungeons or gear off your hands.
Can the Horde play Paladins?
Yes, Undead can be Paladins. In the beta they train in Undercity and Tirisfal Glades, Orgrimmar has no Paladin trainer.
Can the Alliance play Shamans?
Yes, Dwarves can be Shamans. In the beta they train in Ironforge and Dun Morogh, Stormwind has no Shaman trainer.
Which classes can Skyborne play?
Warrior, Hunter, Rogue and Druid on both sides, Mage for the Alliance, Shaman for the Horde.
What is the best tank?
Right now Protection Paladin. More in the tank and healer tier list.
What is the best healer?
Discipline Priest and Holy Paladin are on top.
