Heavy armor, holy magic and a heal for every bad pull.
You fight in heavy armor with a big weapon and back it up with Holy magic, heals and blessings. You can tank, heal or deal damage, and healing yourself between fights makes leveling very forgiving. You still have no interrupt and few ranged attacks, except against Undead and Demons.
Best to level: RetributionSeal of Command in your early 20s and Vengeance at 30 add a lot of damage, while Benediction and Sanctified Judgement keep your Mana up between fights. Also good: Protection.
Healer
You heal from the front line with Holy Light, Flash of Light and later Holy Shock. The Light's Vigil capstone adds a heal for your whole party.
Tank
You tank with a shield, Consecration and Holy Strike, and you taunt by judging Seal of Fury. Templar's Bulwark and Holy Shield keep you standing when a pull goes wrong.
Damage
You hit with a two-handed weapon and add Holy damage through Seals, Judgement and Holy Strike. It is the fastest way to level a Paladin, and you keep your heals and blessings for the group.

Human
Alliance
The strongest Alliance pick for every spec. Will to Survive breaks any stun the moment you need it, and Sword Specialization now adds 2% crit to your spells too, which stacks nicely with Consecration and Holy Strike.
Dwarf
Alliance
A solid alternative on the Alliance side. Stoneform clears bleeds, poisons and diseases that you cannot cleanse yourself and cuts incoming damage by 10%, which tanks love, while Big Game Hunter adds 5% damage against the many beasts you fight while leveling.
Undead
Horde
Your only choice on the Horde, and a genuinely good one. Touch of the Grave steals a little health with your attacks, and Will of the Forsaken breaks fear, charm or sleep the instant you need to keep fighting or healing.

Rare and epic armor (Mail, Plate from 40) and weapons you can use, dungeon by dungeon by level. Armor and weapon types as in Classic.
Seen in the beta, unless it says otherwise.
Holy Strike, learned at level 6, is a new instant weapon strike that adds Holy damage on a 12 second cooldown.
Judgement no longer uses up your Seal, so you set a Seal once and keep judging.
Seal of Fury, learned at level 10, is a new tank Seal. Judging it taunts the enemy, which gives Paladins a real taunt.
Consecration and Blessing of Kings are trained at level 20 instead of being talents, and all Blessings now last one hour.
Undead can now be Paladins, so the Horde gets the class too.
Your talent trees were rebuilt with new tools like Templar's Bulwark, Light's Vigil and Twist of Light, and Holy Shock now has a 10 second cooldown.
