Manor Mistmantle and Half-Pint Tavern: The Two Unannounced WoW Forever Dungeons

What the client shows

Both maps are set up as 5-player dungeons in the beta client, the same instance type as the nine announced ones. That is where the hard data ends. No boss, trash mob or item in the client is tied to either map yet, and neither has a level range.

Both also use placeholder loading screens, a generic Eastern Kingdoms picture for Manor Mistmantle and an old Stormwind one for Half-Pint Tavern. Dungeons that are further along already have their own loading screen art, so these two look early in development.

Manor Mistmantle

The name points straight at Duskwood. Manor Mistmantle is the old Mistmantle family estate in northeastern Duskwood, just north of Darkshire. In Classic it is the stage for the Alliance quest chain The Legend of Stalvan, the story of Stalvan Mistmantle, the family tutor who turned to the undead.

Two details in the Forever data are worth a look. Stalvan Mistmantle is still in the database as a level 32 undead, and so are the Mistmantle Family Ring and the Orb of Mistmantle off-hand. New in the client is an elite NPC called Mistmantle Prowler, with no location yet. Whether it belongs to the new map is open. It is the only new NPC so far that carries the family name.

In Classic, Duskwood is a zone for roughly levels 18 to 30. A dungeon there would fit that stretch of leveling, but that is our reading of the map name, not a range from Blizzard.

Half-Pint Tavern

Half-Pint Tavern is the bigger mystery. The German client calls it Taverne zur halben Maß. It is a small map, 9 tiles in the current beta build, and its placeholder loading screen is an old Stormwind picture. Since that screen is a stand-in, it does not tell us where the tavern will end up.

No NPC or item in the client carries the tavern’s name yet. Until that changes, any theory about bosses or a theme is guesswork, so we leave it out.

Will they be in at launch?

Blizzard’s launch lineup has nine new dungeons, and our dungeon guides cover all of them next to the 26 classics. Manor Mistmantle and Half-Pint Tavern are not on that list. They could arrive in a later update, change a lot or never ship at all.

We check the beta client after every build. As soon as bosses, a level range or an announcement shows up, each map gets its own guide page and the change is logged below.
