Cosmetic rewards for the points your account has earned in total, not the ones you spend.
Points belong to your account, each character spends them on its own.
Earning more helps your alts, one character stays at 16. Blizzard plans to raise the cap later.
Your class trainer resets your points. In the beta the cheapest reset costs 1 silver, and the price drops one step every hour.
Progress from Hardcore counts everywhere, progress from normal realms does not count in Hardcore.
No perk gives combat stats. It is all about rested experience, materials, repairs, reputation and honor.
Your first character reaching level 25 usually gives the first point, a crafting profession at 150 sometimes earlier.
An account-wide system of challenges. Every challenge you finish gives Legacy Points to the whole account, and each character spends them in three Legacy Trees for comfort perks: Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness.
Yes, you earn them for the whole account. Each character spends them on its own, without taking anything away from your other characters.
Up to 16 per character at launch, even if your account has earned more. Blizzard plans to raise that cap later.
65 at launch: 27 from classes, 18 from professions, 12 from PvP, 3 each from dungeons and raids and 2 from adventure. Without alts you top out around 29.
Usually when your first character reaches level 25. A crafting profession at skill 150 or the whole world map explored on one character earns it too.
For leveling Well Rested, Thrill of Adventure, Talented and Frequent Flier. For gold Bountiful Harvest and Working Overtime. At 60 Reagent Economy counts as one of the best single picks.
Yes, at your class trainer. As with talents, the price climbs with every reset. In the beta the cheapest reset costs 1 silver and the price drops back one step every hour. That is a beta-only setting, the launch prices are not out yet.
Yes. Since October 8 every beta player has a beta-only Legacy Challenge done that gives 16 Legacy Points, enough for a full build. That way the system can be tested without leveling many classes first. It only counts in the beta and stays until the beta ends.
Only one way. Progress made in Hardcore counts for the whole account, but progress from normal realms does not carry into Hardcore. PvP challenges cannot be done there, so Hardcore brings 12 challenges of its own when it launches.
No. The perks are comfort: more rested experience, more materials, cheaper repairs, more reputation and honor. No perk gives combat stats.
Cosmetics for the points your account has earned in total: an air rifle at 15, a pet at 25, a tabard at 40 and the Spectral Bear mount at 55.
