Charge in, take the hits and hold the line.
You fight in heavy armor in the middle of every fight and spend Rage on hard hits, shouts and shield blocks. You can tank for your group with a shield or deal melee damage with a two-hander or two weapons. Your first levels are slow, but every weapon upgrade makes you stronger, and next to a healer you are hard to bring down.
Best to level: ArmsTwo-handed hits with Rend and Overpower kill fastest on your own, and Sweeping Strikes at 30 lets you take on two or three enemies at once. Also good: Protection.
Damage
You swing one big two-handed weapon and build your fights around Rend and Overpower. Sweeping Strikes helps against packs from level 30, and Mortal Strike, which cuts enemy healing, arrives at 40.
Damage
You carry a weapon in each hand and trade Rage for fast hits, Bloodthirst and Whirlwind. Fury feels thin in the early levels and is built for dungeons and raids where a tank takes the hits.
Tank
You carry a shield and hold enemies on you with Revenge, Thunder Clap and later Shield Slam. Most Protection talents only work with a shield, and Shield Specialization gives you Rage every time you block.

The PvP pick: Will to Survive breaks every stun. Sword Specialization adds 2% crit while you use swords.

Stoneform clears bleeds, poisons and diseases and cuts physical damage by 10%, great for tanks. Maces give 1% crit.

The best Horde pick. Blood Fury adds 10% Attack Power, axes give 1% crit and Hardiness shortens stuns by 20%.

A weaker pick for a Warrior: Will of the Forsaken overlaps with your Berserker Rage. Touch of the Grave heals a little.

Built to last. Endurance adds 5% health and 1% hit, War Stomp stuns up to 5 enemies.
Troll

Close behind the Orc. Berserking adds 10% attack speed, Rapid Regeneration heals half your health between fights.

Rage now comes from your weapon speed instead of the damage you deal, and critical hits no longer give extra Rage. Better gear makes you hit harder but does not speed up your Rage.
Victory Rush is trained at level 20 by every Warrior. After you kill an enemy you get one quick strike that heals you for 10% of your health.
Tactical Mastery is trained at level 14, so you keep some Rage when you swap stances. Thunder Clap works in Defensive Stance, and the Vanguard talent lets you Charge from Defensive Stance too.
Shield Wall and Retaliation have a 15 minute cooldown and no longer block each other or Recklessness. Shield Block now stops two attacks.
Your talent trees were rebuilt. Weaponmaster replaces the old weapon specializations, Bloodthrill lets Rend trigger Overpower, Raging Blows adds your off-hand to Whirlwind, and most Protection talents need a shield.
The default interface now shows a swing timer, so timing Slam and Heroic Strike no longer needs an addon.

For example Arms at level 60: open with Charge, Rend, Mortal Strike, Spearing Strike, Slam. Then your main buttons are Rend, Mortal Strike, Overpower and Spearing Strike, and Execute once the target is under 20%. The Rotation Trainer shows every button with the reason behind it and lets you play it yourself.

The Warrior is medium to start with. Your buttons are simple, but Rage starts empty and the first levels are slow until you find a good weapon.
