How to Tame and Train Hunter Pets in WoW Forever
From level 10 a short quest chain leads to your first pet. After that it is about food, loyalty and training points, and one stable slot always stays free for new ranks.
The taming quests of your race
From level 10 your hunter trainer sends you to three beasts. At the end you know Tame Beast and Beast Training.

Tame Beast
You channel for 20 seconds from up to 30 yards, and your armor drops to zero meanwhile, so the beast hits you hard. Beasts above your level cannot be tamed.

Food, loyalty and happiness
Feed your pet food its family eats. A happy pet deals more damage, an unhappy one grows disloyal over time and runs off. Loyalty climbs through these steps:

Stable and stable masters
The stable has three slots: one for the active pet, two to keep. Keep one free, because to learn a rank from a wild beast you tame it for a moment.

FAQ
When can a hunter tame a pet?
From level 10. A short quest chain for your race leads to Tame Beast, after that you can tame any beast up to your level.
Why is my new pet unhappy?
Freshly tamed pets start unhappy and with little loyalty. Feed it at once with food its family eats, or it will run off in the end.
How many stable slots are there?
Three in the beta: the active pet and two in the stable.
Why can't I tame this beast?
Most often it is above your level: since the hotfix of September 24 you only tame beasts up to your own level. As in Classic it also fails while you already have a pet, even a dismissed one. Put it in the stable first.
How do I feed my pet?
With Feed Pet, which you have from level 10, and food its family eats. Every family page lists it. A happy pet deals 25% more damage, an unhappy one 25% less.
