New zone

Zephras Isle: levels 1 to 12

An elemental island in the sky, modelled on Skywall, and the start zone of the Skyborne. Their ancestors fled Eldre'Thalas after the War of the Ancients and found refuge in Skywall. Now the pylons that hold Zephras together are failing, and three powers fight over the island. Announced

On the World Map

Before you startAnnounced

The race and its island come only with the Skyborne Heroic Pack or a bigger pack. You pick Horde or Alliance when you create the character.

Way outBeta

At level 13 a quest takes you to the Valanaar Skydocks. The Alliance skyship lands in Dalaran in the Alterac Mountains, where a portal leads on to Stormwind. The Horde skyship lands at Skywatcher Plateau in Mulgore.

Whether other races can visit the island, and whether Skyborne can fly back, is open. We check it in launch week.

Questions about the new zones

What are the new zones in WoW Forever?

Four: Zephras Isle, the Skyborne start zone for levels 1 to 12, the Riverglades on the east coast of the Eastern Kingdoms for levels 36 to 44, Mount Hyjal through Winterspring from about level 55, and Shen'dralas south of Desolace, which has no level range yet. The Riverglades and Mount Hyjal levels come from the beta client, the Zephras Isle range from Blizzard.

Where is Shen'dralas and what level is it?

South of Desolace. You walk in through the Valley of Bones at the south end of Desolace. Blizzard has not given a level range and the client gives its areas no level either. Wowhead's zone overview says its quests send you to Razorfen Downs (37–46) and Maraudon (46–55). We add the range in launch week.

Which Classic zones changed in WoW Forever?

Dalaran is a town again in the Alterac Mountains, with its own dungeon, Tirisfal Glades has Bandarion Keep as the home of the Forsaken paladins, the Wetlands get new quests and the Excavation Site dungeon, and Desolace gets more centaur quests and the way into Shen'dralas. Stormwind has a harbor with a ship to Auberdine. A few more zones have new areas in the client that Blizzard has not talked about yet.

Is there a flight path at Powderfuse Port?

Not one you can use yet. The client has two flight nodes at Powderfuse Port, both still hidden, while Farholde Keep already knows a route there for 3s 30c. Until it opens, take the ship from Steamwheedle Port in Tanaris, which carries both factions. We check it in launch week.

Where is the stable master on Zephras Isle?

Genn Fairweather stands at the Fairweather Stables at 53.8, 81.2. He is the riding trainer too and sells the Galestriders.
