No ratings and no arenas: Forever PvP is a 14-rank honor track that starts over every season, four battlegrounds with their reputations and a ruleset that decides how much fighting you meet in the open world.

The short answer

No rated PvP and no announced arenas. Progress is a 14-rank honor track that starts over every season.

The client allows only a certain highest rank in each stage. Read as weeks, which is our reading, the way to rank 14 takes at least ten weeks.

Duels, arenas and the Forever Open

Duels work as in Classic, the client counts the duels you win and lose.

Arenas are not announced. The client holds two arena rows without any texts, which is not an announcement.

The Forever Open is a community duel tournament on the PvP ruleset, Horde, level 30: qualifiers on Oct 17, 2026, finals on Oct 18, 2026. Blizzard does not run it and posted a warning against real money trading in the forum thread about it.

Is there rated PvP in WoW Forever?

No. Blizzard said there is no rated PvP and no arenas are announced. PvP progress is the 14-rank honor track, which starts over every season.

Which battlegrounds does WoW Forever have?

Warsong Gulch from level 10, Arathi Basin from 20, the new Darkspear Islands from 30 and Alterac Valley from 51.

Can I play battlegrounds in the WoW Forever beta?

Not yet. As of September 28 players report that no battleground can be queued in the beta. Blizzard said battlegrounds open as the beta goes on.

How many Legacy points does PvP give?
