There is no single best class. Retribution Paladin, Beast Mastery Hunter and Frost Mage lead leveling, Fury Warrior and Beast Mastery Hunter lead raids and Affliction Warlock, Assassination Rogue and Discipline Priest lead PvP.
What is the best class for beginners?
Beast Mastery Hunter and Retribution Paladin. The pet tanks while you learn your rotation from range.
Which class levels the fastest?
Retribution Paladin, Beast Mastery Hunter and Frost Mage. Heavy armor, self heals and Seal damage make it the fastest leveler of the first beta week. A fix for Vengeance is on the way.
What is the best PvE class?
In dungeons Protection Paladin, in raids Fury Warrior and Beast Mastery Hunter. The highest single target damage of any spec at 60 so far, once a tank holds the boss.
What is the best tank in WoW Forever?
Protection Paladin. Seal of Fury hits on every swing, adds an absorb and taunts through Judgement from 10 yards.
What is the best healer in WoW Forever?
Holy Paladin, Restoration Druid and Discipline Priest. Holy Shock, Light's Vigil for the party and answers to mana problems in combat.
What is the best PvP class?
Affliction Warlock, Assassination Rogue and Discipline Priest. Soul Link cuts the damage you take and Fear resets a fight you are losing.
What is the safest class for Hardcore?
Beast Mastery Hunter. The pet eats the pull instead of you, the safest first Hardcore character.

Each list grades something else: how leveling feels in the beta, damage at 60 or the design of the talents. That is why we split our lists into leveling, dungeons, raids and PvP.
How often is this tier list updated?
With every beta build and every patch. This version is for Beta build 1.60.1, level cap 20. Next update when the beta cap rises to 30, and at the November 4 launch we rank everything again for level 60.
