Install Addons in WoW Forever
In the beta, WoW Forever addons go into World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns. The folder name for the launch is not confirmed yet. Download the file tagged for Forever or game version 1.60.1, never a Classic Era copy. Below: the addon apps that already find Forever, installing by hand and what the common errors mean.
The addon folder
In the beta the addon folder is here. The game starts with WowB.exe, on a Mac it is World of Warcraft Beta.app.

Out of date addons
If the AddOn List marks an addon as out of date because its file names another interface number, tick Load out of date AddOns. Dominos 11.4.0 for example names 11601 instead of 16001.
Update with the game closed
Update addons while the game is closed. An update while it runs can make an addon vanish until the next restart.

Why does my addon not show up after I copy it?
The game reads the addon folders when it starts. Copy the folder into Interface\AddOns, restart the game and check the AddOn List on the character screen. If the addon is listed as out of date, tick Load out of date AddOns.
Why does WowUp show Forever as MoP Beta?
The stable WowUp does not know the Forever client, which reuses the folder of the Classic beta. Version 2.24.0 beta 1 from September 17 finds it, so switch WowUp to its beta channel.
Why are my addon settings not saving in WoW Forever?
The first beta builds wrote addon settings but did not read them back, and build 70009 of September 24 fixed that. The game writes addon settings when you log out or type /reload, so a crash or a forced quit still loses the changes of that session. If you used a workaround tool, remove it after updating.
Which file do I download for WoW Forever?
The one tagged for Forever or for game version 1.60.1. Inside, the addon lists interface 16001 or has a file ending in _Camelot.toc. Do not copy a whole Classic Era AddOns folder.
