Do Mining, Herbalism or Skinning count?
No. Only the six crafting professions count: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking and Tailoring. Cooking, First Aid, Fishing and the gathering professions have no challenge.
How many characters do I need for every tradeskill point?
Three, because each character learns two primary professions. Each one earns 6 of the 18 points.
Which profession is the cheapest for the points?
Enchanting needs the fewest different materials up to 300, Blacksmithing the most. The table shows crafts and materials per step on our route.
