Methods for this stretch
The steadiest gold in the game: pick two gathering professions and sell what you find while you level.
Keep Find Herbs on and take every node you pass. Low herbs sell in stacks of 20 to alchemists who level, and in Forever First Aid brews the healing potions, so far more players buy Peacebloom, Briarthorn and Bruiseweed.
In Forever: Scarce herbs like Frilled Lichen and herb seeds drop on top.

Watch out: Nodes are shared: the first gatherer takes them.
In the Farming Atlas: Briarthorn, Goldthorn
Run herb loops in Winterspring, the Plaguelands and Felwood. Raiders need flasks and elixirs every week, so these herbs never stop selling. Check the Black Lotus spots on your way.
In Forever: In the beta a vendor at Powderfuse Port sells Black Lotus for 50g, which caps its price if it ships.

Watch out: Busy zones and world PvP on PvP realms.

Mine every vein on your route. Copper and Tin are some of the best sellers of launch week because Forever adds many Bronze recipes. Sell ore, or smelt it when bars go for more.
In Forever: Ore stacks to 20 now, and Pyrite, Bauxite and Pitchblende come as rare extras.

Loop the walls of Un'Goro Crater for Small Thorium, then Rich Thorium in Winterspring, Silithus and the Eastern Plaguelands. Arcane Crystals and the big gems are worth more than the ore.
In Forever: The beta vendor at Powderfuse Port also sells Arcane Crystals for 50g.

Watch out: Crowded loops, elites in southern Winterspring.
In the Farming Atlas: Thorium Ore
Skinning costs you no extra route: every beast quest turns into leather. Leatherworking got more new recipes in Forever than any other profession, so Light, Medium and Heavy Leather keep selling.
In Forever: Pristine Leather, a new Scarce material, is in 126 recipes.

Watch out: Many players vendor low leather, check the auction house before you sell.
The Eastern Plaguelands have hounds and bats that respawn faster than you can clear them. Bats also drop grey items that sell well to the vendor.

Mobs: Frenzied Plaguehound, Monstrous Plaguebat
Watch out: Moderate competition.
In the Farming Atlas: Rugged Leather
Devilsaurs patrol the crater floor. You need about Skinning 270 and a class that can kill an elite, Hunters and Rogues do it best. Every agility class wants the set, so the leather sells high.
Mobs: Devilsaur
Watch out: Heavy competition and world PvP.
Deviate Fish early, Oily Blackmouth and Firefin Snapper for oils, Stonescale Eel at 60. Food gives a little bonus experience in Forever, so cooks buy more fish than in Classic.
In Forever: Fischsuche shows pools on the minimap, and the Legacy perk Luremaster gives extra fish.

Cloth, elementals and vendor trash from mobs. No profession needed, just the right camp for your level.
Clear packs of Defias, pirates or troggs and keep the cloth. Linen and Wool are the first things new tailors and first-aiders buy.
Watch out: Launch week crowds.
In the Farming Atlas: Linen Cloth, Wool Cloth
The Lost Ones in the Swamp of Sorrows drop Silk on most kills, the satyrs of Felwood and Azshara drop Mageweave. Pull two or three at a time.

Fire elementals at Fire Plume Ridge in Un'Goro, water and fire horrors in Felwood. Essences go into dozens of endgame recipes and stack to 20 now.

The plaguebats of the Eastern Plaguelands drop eyes, fangs and pelts that vendors pay well for. In Classic a stack of 10 Evil Bat Eyes sold to the vendor for about 2g. Add Skinning and you get Rugged Leather too.
Mobs: Plaguebat
Watch out: Low, great for bad market days.
Save a few quest chains for level 60. In Classic every point of quest experience turned into money at the cap. The new zones Riverglades and Mount Hyjal are full of fresh quests.
Watch out: Not confirmed for Forever yet.
Solo runs at 60 and group runs that pay in drops, cloth and chests.
Graveyard and Library are packed with humanoids that drop Silk and greens you can sell or disenchant. At 60 an AoE class clears them alone in minutes.
Scarlet Monastery: GraveyardScarlet Monastery: Library
Watch out: Low.
In the Farming Atlas: Silk Cloth
With the Scepter of Celebras you port close to Princess Theradras. Her weapons and the bosses on the way sell to the vendor. Hunters and Warlocks do it easiest. In Classic this paid about 9g a run from vendor loot alone.
Mobs: Princess Theradras
Watch out: No competition, only the instance limit.
East has satyrs with Felcloth, elementals with Living Essence and nodes inside. North pays a tribute chest if the king falls with his guards alive. Great for a gatherer with a group of friends.

Watch out: Low.
In the Farming Atlas: Felcloth
The graveyard event spawns wave after wave of zombies. A Mage with Blizzard or a Paladin with Consecration kills them in big pulls.
Watch out: Needs good AoE gear.
In the Farming Atlas: Mageweave Cloth
The living side of Stratholme drops Righteous Orbs that crafters need, the undead side has supply crates with sellable goods. Every run also gives Runecloth.

Watch out: Needs a group.
The only Dark Iron Deposits outside Molten Core sit here and in the Searing Gorge. The trash drops Runecloth at 40 to 50 percent.
Watch out: Long dungeon, bring a group or the Shadowforge Key.
Crafted goods sell when you craft what levelers and raiders use up: potions, bags, food, enchants.
Pair it with Herbalism. Brew what the market uses up: mana and healing potions for dungeons, elixirs and flasks for raid night. Forever adds dyes like Cerulean Dye that go into over a hundred recipes.
Watch out: Compare herb prices with potion prices before you brew.
Sell bags a step above what vendors offer, and Mooncloth at 60. Keep your own cloth and you save the auction house on both sides.
Watch out: Many cloth wearers take Tailoring, bag prices get undercut.
Early on it costs you gold because you disenchant instead of selling. At 60 shards and rare formulas like Crusader pay it all back.
Small Radiant Shard
Large Brilliant Shard
Mobs: Scarlet Spellbinder
Watch out: Slow start.
The money is in rare plans and in what raiders use up: bombs, sapper charges, armor kits. Forever adds hundreds of new recipes nobody has priced yet.
Watch out: Expensive to level.
Buy low, sell high, and know what launch week pays for. One auction house per faction and ruleset makes the markets big.
In the first days thousands of players level professions at the same time and buy low materials at prices that never come back. Sell everything raw in week one, and craft later when prices fall.
In Forever: Waylaid Crates ask for these same bundles, which adds demand.

Watch out: Prices drop once the gatherers catch up.
In the Farming Atlas: Linen Cloth, Tin Ore
Early gold is mostly vendor gold. Loot every mob, sell the greys when your bags are full, and when a quest reward is no upgrade, pick the one with the highest vendor price.
Watch out: Small amounts, but they add up to your first mount.
Watch a few items you know well, buy the listings far under the usual price and post them again. Sell when players are online, in the evening and before raid nights.
Watch out: You lose the deposit on anything that does not sell.
What your class does better than the others: Mage AoE, Rogue junkboxes, Warlock summons.
Mages kill many mobs at once, so any humanoid camp becomes a cloth and silver farm. Pair it with Tailoring and Enchanting.
Hillsbrad FoothillsWestern PlaguelandsScarlet Monastery: Graveyard
Watch out: Needs quiet spots and an AoE build.
Pick Pocket every humanoid in dungeons and camps. You get coins, greys and junkboxes with potions and rare drops, and you open them with your own Lockpicking.
Watch out: Low.
Maraudon and Dire Maul have herbs and veins inside. Rogues and Druids slip past the packs, gather everything and leave.
Watch out: Low.
Forever has no summoning meeting stones, so every group needs a Warlock to pull players to the entrance. Many groups tip for it.
Watch out: Small but steady.
Gather a pack, stand in Consecration and let the damage do the work. Scarlet Monastery and Zul'Farrak work well. Test it after the Paladin changes of Forever.
Scarlet Monastery: GraveyardZul'Farrak
Watch out: Forever reworked Paladin talents.
Systems Classic never had: Waylaid Crates, the Black Market, camp objects and XP food.
Camp object blueprints like the Rock Garden come from dungeon bosses. Nobody knows their price yet, so the first ones on the market set it.
Hall of ThanesRuins of LordaeronKrol'dok Stronghold
Watch out: Values unknown until launch.
Most cooked food now adds about 5 percent experience from kills while its buff lasts. Levelers buy it from day one, and it uses meat you get anyway.
Watch out: Easy to learn, many sellers.
In the beta a vendor next to the Black Market sells Black Lotus and Arcane Crystals for 50g each without a stock limit. Nobody pays more on the auction house, so post just under it and sell fast.
Mobs: Mister Graphed
Watch out: The vendor may change before launch.
From level 10 you find crates that ask for one bundle, like 20 Copper Ore or 40 Linen. Turn them in at Three Corners in the west of Redridge or west of the Crossroads for Merchant's Favor, which buys recipes, a title and a mount. They also add demand for exactly those materials.

Watch out: How much Favor a crate gives is not confirmed.
What each class farms best at level 60, and why.
Warrior
Tank the group runs, groups always need you. Mining fills the time between.
Paladin
Consecration clears whole packs of undead and humanoids.
Hunter
The pet tanks, so Hunters solo dungeon bosses and elite Devilsaurs.
Rogue
Pick Pocket, junkboxes and Stealth past the trash to what pays.
Priest
Healers get into every group run, and cloth wearers disenchant their own drops.
Shaman
Heal group runs, or gather with Ghost Wolf between the nodes.
Mage
Blizzard and Frost Nova turn every humanoid camp into cloth and silver.
Warlock
Solo runs with the pet, summons for tips and Felcloth from demons.
Druid
Travel Form and Prowl make Druids the fastest gatherers.
Which profession pays when, with the methods of this guide.
MiningGathering
Copper and Tin sell fast in launch week, Thorium and Arcane Crystals at 60.
HerbalismGathering
First Aid now brews healing potions, so every herb has more buyers. Black Lotus at 300.
SkinningGathering
Leatherworking got the most new recipes, and Pristine Leather is the new bottleneck.
FishingGathering
No fight for the water. Oils and raid food fish pay at 60.
Enchanting
Costs gold while leveling, pays with shards and rare formulas at 60.
Blacksmithing
Rare plans and raid gear, expensive to level.
Do the math before you post: the deposit, the house cut and your profit.

No WoW TokenConfirmed
Blizzard has no plans for a WoW Token or paid boosts in Forever, and the upgrade packs contain no gold. Every coin is earned in game.
One auction house per faction and rulesetConfirmed
Realms share one auction house per ruleset and faction in each region. Markets are big, so prices settle fast and undercutting is fierce.
Riding: 100g and 1,000gBeta data
Apprentice Riding costs 100g and Journeyman Riding 1,000g in the Forever data, and learning it gives you the mount. The required levels are not in the data yet.
A Black Market at Powderfuse PortBeta
The beta has a bid-only Black Market Auction House in the Riverglades with rare gear and mounts, and a vendor that sells Black Lotus and Arcane Crystals for 50g each.
Waylaid Crates and Merchant's FavorBeta data
Crates ask for fixed material bundles and pay Merchant's Favor for recipes, a title and a mount. That keeps low materials in demand long after launch.
Bigger stacks, new materialsBeta data
Ores and essences stack to 20, gathering gives new Scarce materials, and over 600 new recipes need them.
Food with bonus experienceBeta data
Most cooked food adds about 5 percent experience from kills, so cooks have buyers from day one.
No summoning stonesConfirmed
Meeting stones do not summon players, only Warlocks do. Summons at dungeon entrances are worth a tip again.
Legacy perks that save goldBeta data
Bartering cuts vendor prices by 10 percent, Frequent Flier halves flight costs, Reinforce lowers durability loss and Bountiful Harvest doubles Scarce materials at rank 5.
Respec in the betaConfirmed
Talent resets cost 1 silver in the beta, 5g if you reset again within an hour. Classic went from 1g up to 50g, the launch price is not known yet.
The goods traded most in the beta and the first to run short at every Classic launch. We add real Forever prices after launch.
Guide created with the beta economy: riding costs, Black Market, Waylaid Crates, auction house rules and 36 gold methods.
Beta cap 30: Merchant's Favor per crate, Scarce material rates and blueprint drops.
Launch: riding levels, auction house rules, the Black Market vendor, instance limit and the first real prices.
First week: quest gold at 60, herbs and ore in the Riverglades and Mount Hyjal, the new endgame materials.
Raids open: flask and consumable prices.
Two gathering professions while you level, above all in launch week when everyone levels professions. At 60 endgame herbs, Thorium, essences and solo runs through Maraudon or Dire Maul pay the most.
The Mage, because it kills whole camps at once. Hunters and Warlocks solo dungeons, Rogues and Druids sneak past packs to chests and nodes.
While leveling Skinning, Herbalism and Mining. Leatherworking has the most new recipes, so leather is in high demand. At 60 Alchemy and Enchanting pay best.
Herbs in Winterspring and the Plaguelands, Thorium in Un'Goro Crater and Silithus, essences at Fire Plume Ridge and solo runs through Maraudon and Dire Maul.
Mithril in the Badlands and the Searing Gorge, Mageweave from the ogres of Tanaris and Feralas, and Goldthorn in Stranglethorn Vale.
Sell everything raw: Linen Cloth, Copper Ore, Peacebloom and Light Leather. In launch week players pay prices for them that never come back.
In the Forever data Apprentice Riding costs 100g and gives you the mount. Journeyman Riding costs 1,000g. The levels are not set yet, Classic used 40 and 60.
Both are good and they share the same routes. Herbs sell better in Forever than in Classic because First Aid now brews healing potions, ore because of the many new Bronze recipes.
In Classic the faction auction house kept 5 percent of the sale and the neutral houses 15 percent. On top came a deposit based on vendor price and duration that you get back when the item sells. Forever has not published its own values yet.
In Classic Auctionator was the simplest choice for quick posting and price checks. Forever limits addons that do calculations, which features stay will show at launch.
Checked Sep 28, 2026. Values from the beta and the WoW Forever data, farm spots and rates from Classic until Forever has its own numbers.
