Yes, RestedXP works in WoW Forever: version 4.11.33 of November 6 is built for the launch client. The addon and its routes to level 21 (Alliance) and 22 (Horde) are free. The full guide costs $30 per faction or $45 for both and has Forever routes up to level 35 so far.

- Yes. Version 4.11.33 of November 6 is built for the Forever client.

- The addon is free, the longer routes are sold on the side. Blizzard has said nothing about paid guides in Forever, and no player is known to have been punished for using one.
The guide window, step by step
RestedXP lists every step in a small window, points an arrow at the next objective and ticks steps off as you play. Here are the first steps of two free Forever routes. Press play or click through them.

Tap a number in the window and this line tells you what that part does.
1Chapter and levels The chapter you are on. When it ends, the route loads the next chapter for your race and class by itself.
2Current step The highlighted row. It ticks itself off when you accept, finish or turn in. Tick it yourself and you skip the step.
3Waypoint arrow Points at the next objective. Turn until it points straight ahead and run. Size and position are in the settings.
4Right-click menu Right-click the window to switch guides, import a guide you bought or open the settings.

What works in Forever and what is missing
From the addon's code: some modules check the game version and stay off in Forever.
Works in Forever

- Flight master, hearthstone bind and gossip skipping on autopilot

- Drowning warning and dangerous mobs on the map
Missing in Forever
- Free talent guides: the talent files only load in Classic. A talent builder with Legacy points is announced for the premium guide.
- Item upgrade tooltips: they run only in Classic, TBC and Cata. An Auction House upgrade finder is announced.
- Rare scan and rare alerts: hidden on the current client.
- Hardcore mode and profession guides: hidden in Forever.
- Automatic raid markers: addons may not mark on their own in Forever, so the targeting macro marks when you press it.

Install RestedXP for WoW Forever
Five steps for the free version, three more for a guide you bought. Tick what you have done, your browser remembers it.
Everyone
Get the Forever file
In the CurseForge or Wago app pick your WoW Forever install and add RestedXP Guide. By hand, take RXPGuides-v4.11.33.zip from the GitHub releases, one zip for every game version. Delete an older RXPGuides folder first.
Use the right folder
The RXPGuides folder goes into Interface\AddOns of your Forever install, with RXPGuides.toc directly inside it. Can't find the folder? In the Battle.net app pick WoW Forever, open the gear menu next to Play and choose Show in Explorer.
Interface\AddOns\RXPGuidesRestart and switch it on
Restart the game fully,
/reloaddoes not see new folders. On the character screen open AddOns and tick RestedXP Guides.Let it pick your route
Log in. The addon loads the starter guide of your race and chains the next chapters by itself. Want the Dungeon Guide instead? Right-click the window and pick it.
Put the targeting macro on a bar
Turn on Create Targeting Macro in the settings, drag the RXPTargeting macro to an action bar and press it near kill and talk objectives. It targets the right mob and marks it. It needs a free macro slot and only updates after combat.
With a bought guide
Bought it? Link your Battle.net ID
On account.restedxp.com add the Battle.net ID of the account you play on. Bought guides only import with that ID.
Import the guide string
Under Downloads click Export and copy the whole string. In game type
/rxp import(or right-click the window, Import guide), paste and confirm. You have to be online./rxp importImport again after every route update
Updating the addon does not bring new premium routes. After a RestedXP update, export a fresh string and import it again. Your saved step stays.
Commands and settings worth knowing
Commands
/rxpOpens the settings. /rxpg works too.
/rxp importOpens the importer for a guide you bought.
/rxp hideHides every RestedXP frame. /rxp show brings them back, /rxp toggle switches.
/rxp splitsTurns the level splits on or off, your time per level.
/rxp bugReports a route bug. Give version, race, class, level, chapter and step.
/rxp helpLists every command in chat.
Settings
- Quest auto accept/turn in
- Accepts and turns in the route's quests. Hold Ctrl to switch it off for a moment, for a reward choice for example.
- Show step list
- Shows the whole chapter. Click a step to jump ahead or back.
- Show Group Quests
- Under Guide Routing. Turn it on only with a group. Some new Forever group quests only show with it.
- Experience rates
- Leave it at 1x. Above that the addon hides whole chapters and skips steps.
- Disable step skips
- Stops the automatic skipping when you are ahead of or behind the route.
- Quest Cleanup
- Abandons quests the route does not use. The quest log holds 40 quests in Forever.
- Lock Frames, Window Scale, Arrow Scale
- Size and place of the window and the waypoint arrow. Reset Arrow Position brings back a lost arrow.

How RestedXP got ready for Forever
Forever guides open for order
RestedXP sells the Forever guides while they are being built. All updates are included in the price.
First Forever build v4.11.0
With the Skyborne starting zone. A day later Forever is official in the addon file.
Routes 1–35 done in the beta
Skyborne for both factions, 62 new Alliance and 71 new Horde quests, new pairs such as Dwarf Shaman, Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Undead Paladin, Orc Mage and Troll Warlock.
Dungeon Guide in the addon
With v4.11.26 the addon asks which dungeons you want to run. The official trailer goes up the same day.
Big update before launch
Routes fitted to the 40-slot quest log, dungeons reordered with Ruins of Lordaeron, Excavation Site and Dalaran, a long list of fixes.
Launch with v4.11.33
German and other translated clients find the Forever routes. The route writers race to max level live.

The route writers, live
The people who write the Forever routes raced to max level live on Twitch at launch: Vitochie, Ksuper, Stillow, Tommy, LMGD, Burning, Cloudbells.
Fixes for common RestedXP problems
The arrow is gone or points the wrong way
Type /rxp show, untick "Hide waypoint arrow" and use "Reset Arrow Position". Still wrong? Switch off TomTom, SilverDragon, TotemTimers or Leatrix Maps and /reload. Also check that you are on the right step.
The guide stops at level 21 or 22
That is where the free routes end. Carry on with the bought guide or with our free leveling guide 1–60.
Import says "Invalid Import String"
Your Battle.net ID is missing on the RestedXP account or does not match the game account. Add it, export a fresh string and import it while online in game. If the ID still does not match, open a ticket on the RestedXP Discord.
New route fixes do not show upForever
An addon update does not change a bought guide. Export the string again, /rxp import, remove the old guide, /reload, import. Your progress stays saved.
Quest log full, the next quest will not takeForever
The quest log holds 40 quests in Forever, and quests off the route fill it. Abandon the ones the route does not use, or use "Quest Cleanup".
A quest was not accepted or turned in automaticallyForever
That was a bug in the new guide window, fixed in v4.11.28 of October 28. Update the addon, until then accept and turn in by hand. Fixed in v4.11.28
Errors or crashes with a controller (Gamepad Mode)Forever
With Blizzard's gamepad mode RestedXP still sets off ADDON_ACTION_FORBIDDEN errors. Turn off all map pins in the options or use ConsolePort. The issue is still open on GitHub.
RestedXP is missing from the AddOns list
The folder must be called RXPGuides with RXPGuides.toc directly inside, not in a second subfolder. Take the Forever file, not a Classic one, and restart the game fully.
The guide skips steps or whole zones
You are ahead of the route or missing a quest chain. Set Experience rates to 1x and turn on "Disable step skips" if you need it. Kill mobs between objectives, the route counts on that XP.
German client: no Forever routes in the guide listForever
Translated group names were missing until v4.11.32 of November 4. Update the addon. Fixed in v4.11.32
The targeting macro does not change
RXPTargeting only rewrites itself out of combat and needs a free macro slot. After the fight it catches up.

FAQ
Does RestedXP work in WoW Forever?
Yes. Version 4.11.33 of November 6 is built for the Forever client, and RestedXP ships updates every few days. We check the addon file itself, not only what the download page says.
Is RestedXP free in WoW Forever?
The addon is, and so are its Forever routes to level 21 for the Alliance and 22 for the Horde, with the Skyborne start and a Dungeon Guide for the same levels. After that you need the bought guide or another route.
How much does the RestedXP Forever guide cost?
$30 for one faction or $45 for both, from the RestedXP shop on November 5, 2026. Updates are included. The guide is bound to your RestedXP account and your Battle.net ID.
Does the premium guide cover 1–60?
Not with Forever routes yet. They go to level 35, and for 35–60 the guide uses the Classic Era routes until the Forever ones arrive. RestedXP announced them for after launch.
Where do I download RestedXP for Forever?
From GitHub under Releases (one zip for every game version), from CurseForge or from Wago. In the CurseForge and Wago apps pick your WoW Forever install first.
Is RestedXP allowed in WoW Forever?
The addon and its free routes cost nothing, the longer routes are sold on restedxp.com. Blizzard's add-on policy says add-ons must be free of charge. We found no Blizzard statement about paid guides in Forever, and the forum debate is still going. We call it neither allowed nor banned.
Can I get banned for using RestedXP?
No case is known of Blizzard acting against a player for using RestedXP or a similar guide, and we found no reply from Blizzard staff in the Forever threads about it. The policy question is about the people who sell guides, not about players.
Does RestedXP work with Questie?
Yes. With Questie loaded RestedXP even reads Questie's quest data for objectives. Arrow trouble comes from other arrow addons such as TomTom or Leatrix Maps, so run one arrow at a time.
Can I use the guide on several accounts?
The import only works with the Battle.net ID on your RestedXP account. If you play on two Battle.net accounts, ask RestedXP support before you buy.
How long does 1–60 take with RestedXP in Forever?
Nobody knows yet. The beta stopped at level 30, and practised beta players needed about twelve and a half hours played to reach 30. Level 1–30 is only a small part of the XP to 60, so do not just double that.
Is RestedXP the same as rested XP?
No. Rested XP is the game mechanic that builds up while you are logged out in an inn or a city and gives you extra XP for kills. RestedXP is the addon named after it.
Is RestedXP available in German?
Yes. On a German client the interface and the free routes show in German, with German zone names. The guide group names for German clients came with v4.11.32.
