Dungeon and Raid Addons

Forever has no Blizzard boss timeline, so boss mods stay the one addon every group wants. Here are the boss mods, meters, aura addons and loot tables with their Forever status and what the rules allow in combat.

What the game already does

  • The built-in Damage Meter shows damage, healing and actions in several windows.
  • There is no boss ability timeline like in Retail, so boss timers only come from boss mods.
  • Meeting Stones open the Group Finder, they do not summon anyone.

DBM and BigWigs: here, with gaps

Both have Forever versions and use their Vanilla modules. Whether they cover the nine new dungeons and the first raids of December 9 is not confirmed yet. LittleWigs, the dungeon pack of BigWigs, has no Forever version.

The combat log is closed to addons, so every meter has to read Blizzard's damage meter. Forever Details Meter does that today, Details itself has a first port since September 24 but no release yet. Threat meters lose their exact numbers in combat.

FAQ

Does DBM work in WoW Forever?

Yes, DBM and BigWigs both have Forever versions. They use their Vanilla modules. Whether they cover the nine new dungeons and the first raids of December 9 is not confirmed yet.

Why do I need a boss mod in WoW Forever?

Retail's built-in boss timeline is switched off in Forever. Without DBM or BigWigs you get no timers for boss abilities.

Which damage meter works in WoW Forever?

The built-in Damage Meter, and meters that read it such as Forever Details Meter. Details has no released Forever version yet, and meters that read the combat log cannot work.
