UI Addons for WoW Forever

ElvUI has no Forever release yet, although its authors have had Forever code since September 16. EllesmereUI and ForeverUI are full UI suites with a Forever build today, and ClassicUI Forever brings back the Classic look. Below are the suites, unit and raid frames, action bars and nameplates, each with its Forever status and date.

What the game already does

  • Edit Mode moves and scales every part of the default interface and shares layouts as text.
  • The Classic preset keeps the old look, Enhanced switches on the modern one.
  • Nameplates show aggro without an addon, and click casting is built in as Click Cast Bindings.

ElvUI: no release yet

Its authors have had Forever code since September 16 and keep fixing it, but the newest ElvUI release of August 29 lists no Forever version. If you want ElvUI, wait for the release. EllesmereUI and ForeverUI are ready for Forever today.

FAQ

Does ElvUI work in WoW Forever?

Not as a release yet. Its authors have Forever code since September 16, but the newest ElvUI release lists no Forever version. EllesmereUI and ForeverUI are full UI suites with a Forever build today.

What is the best UI addon for WoW Forever?

For a full makeover EllesmereUI, which has a base layout made for Forever. If you only want the old look back, ClassicUI Forever puts the Classic art on top of the modern interface. Many players need neither, because Edit Mode moves and scales the default interface.

Can I get the Classic UI back in WoW Forever?

Yes. Pick the Classic preset at your first login for the old models and separate bags, and add a Classic look addon such as ClassicUI Forever or Forevermore Classic UI for the old action bar with the gryphons.
