Overview
Inside Wailing Caverns
Underground rivers connect these caves to the oases scattered across the savannah above. Wind passing through the tunnels and steam escaping through cracks create the mournful sounds that gave the caverns their name. Behind that unsettling noise lies a place that once offered the promise of bringing life back to the Barrens.
The night elf druid Naralex hoped to restore the region by linking its underground waters to the Emerald Dream. Instead, the Nightmare overwhelmed him during his meditation. Its influence spread through the water, changed the local creatures into deviate forms, and drove his followers mad, turning them into the Druids of the Fang.
Getting there
Head south from the Crossroads to the north side of Lushwater Oasis in the Northern Barrens, Kalimdor. Look for the cave entrance whose front resembles a snake skull.
Show on the mapLevel 17–24 is the range the dungeon is tuned for, not a minimum entry level. This is the Forever level range as it stands today. It can still shift before launch.
