Overview
Inside Scarlet Monastery: Graveyard
The monastery began as a center of learning for Lordaeron's priesthood. After the Scourge rose during the Third War, the Scarlet Crusade turned it into a stronghold. Its defenders see outsiders as potential carriers of the plague, so entering their grounds means facing zealots as well as the dead.
Interrogation chambers give way to graves and crypts in the monastery's shortest wing. The regular bosses are level 32 and 34, while its three rare opponents are level 33. Those rare encounters make a complete clear less predictable, adding different combat problems to an otherwise compact stretch of dungeon.
Getting there
Head to the Scarlet Monastery complex at Whispering Gardens in Tirisfal Glades, in the Eastern Kingdoms, and look for the Graveyard wing.
Show on the mapLevel 30–38 is the range the dungeon is tuned for, not a minimum entry level. This is the Forever level range as it stands today. It can still shift before launch.

Bloodmage Thalnos is a skeleton caster found below the staircase at the far end of the graveyard.
Abilities
- Flame Spike · Calls down a pillar of flame, burning all enemies in a selected area for 100 Fire damage and an additional 50 damage every 3 sec. for 9 sec.
- Shadow Bolt · Hurls a bolt of dark magic at an enemy, inflicting Shadow damage.
- Fire Nova · Inflicts Fire damage to nearby enemies.
- Flame Shock · Instantly burns an enemy, then inflicts additional Fire damage every 3 sec. for 12 sec.
Tactics
- Spread out so Flame Spike's selected area catches fewer players.
- Ranged players should stay away from Thalnos to avoid his nearby Fire Nova.
- Flame Shock leaves a 12-second burn after its initial hit.
Tank
Settle Thalnos in a position that leaves the group room to spread.
Healer
Be ready for Shadow Bolt to hit one player while Fire effects pressure others.
Damage

Azshir the Sleepless is a rare opponent that wanders the graveyard and restores health through Soul Siphon.
Abilities
- Call of the Grave · Inflicts 10 Shadow damage to an enemy after 60 sec.
- Terrify · Terrifies an enemy, causing it to flee in fear for 4 sec. Only 1 target can be terrified at a time.
- Soul Siphon · Drains 21 health every 2 sec. from an enemy and its nearest ally, healing the caster for up to twice the amount of health stolen. Lasts 12 sec.
Tactics
- Fight away from uncleared enemies because Terrify can send one player fleeing for 4 seconds.
- Soul Siphon drains its target and that player's nearest ally every 2 seconds for 12 seconds.
- Call of the Grave deals delayed Shadow damage after 60 seconds, so keep track of an affected player's health beyond the immediate exchange.
Tank
Be ready to regain control of Azshir when a fear disrupts the fight.
Healer
Identify both Soul Siphon victims and support them together.
Damage
Keep pressure on Azshir through the drain so his healing does not erase your progress.
