Overview
Inside Uldaman
The vault holds the history of the earthen and their connection to the dwarves. Ironforge excavators once opened part of the site, but troggs and Dark Iron dwarves now occupy its passages. What starts as an expedition through contested dig sites leads into chambers whose original guardians still defend their ancient work.
The change from occupied ruins to awakened constructs gives the run its character. Dig chambers, keeper halls and sealed spaces make this more than a string of fights against the same enemy type. The expedition eventually reaches Archaedas, whose charge is to protect the Discs of Norgannon and the secrets preserved with them.
Getting there
Head to the Maker's Terrace in the northern Badlands, in the Eastern Kingdoms. Uldaman is buried in the mountains there.
Show on the mapLevel 41–51 is the range the dungeon is tuned for, not a minimum entry level. This is the Forever level range as it stands today. It can still shift before launch.

Eric "The Swift" is the speed-focused member of the Lost Dwarves.
Abilities
- Rushing Charge · Increases the caster's movement speed by 120% for 3 sec. and causes it to inflict an additional 190 damage on its first attack.
Tactics
- Rushing Charge briefly increases Eric's movement speed and adds damage to his first attack.
- Do not rely on distance alone to stay safe while the charge is active.
Tank
Establish threat before the group commits damage so Eric's opening attack lands on you.
Healer
Keep a heal ready for the hit immediately after Rushing Charge.

Baelog is the Lost Dwarves' sword-and-bow fighter.
Abilities
Tactics
- Strike deals increased melee damage, so avoid leaving a non-tank in melee with aggro.
- Shoot deals Physical damage at range, so backing away does not remove his ability to hurt you.
Healer
Watch the health of ranged players as well as the melee group.

Olaf is the shield-bearing defender of the Lost Dwarves.
Abilities
- Shield Slam · Inflicts 20 damage to an enemy, stunning it for 2 sec.
Tactics
- Shield Slam stuns its target for 2 seconds.
- Avoid a burst of damage while the tank is stunned and cannot respond to a threat change.
Healer
Keep the tank healthy enough to take hits through the stun.

Revelosh is a trogg caster in the Hall of the Keepers.
Abilities
- Lightning Bolt · Blasts an enemy with lightning, inflicting Nature damage.
- Chain Lightning · Strikes an enemy with a lightning bolt that arcs to another nearby enemy. The spell affects up to 3 targets, causing Nature damage to each.
Tactics
- Spread out so Chain Lightning cannot easily arc between nearby players.
- Prioritize interrupting Chain Lightning, which can hit up to three targets.
- In Classic, Revelosh carries The Shaft of Tsol, which combines with the Gni'kiv Medallion from Baelog's Chest to make the Staff of Prehistoria used to summon Ironaya.
Tank
Keep Revelosh apart from the ranged group rather than dragging him into it.
Healer
Recover the group after a chain lands before returning your attention to the tank.
Damage
Use spare interrupts on Lightning Bolt when Chain Lightning coverage is secure.

Ironaya guards Uldaman's secrets in the Map Chamber, combining frontal damage with knockbacks and a nearby stun.
Abilities
- Arcing Smash · Lashes out in a vicious arc, inflicting damage to enemies in a cone in front of the caster.
- Knock Away · Inflicts normal damage plus 30 to an enemy and knocks it back.
- War Stomp · Inflicts normal damage plus 23 to nearby enemies, knocking them back and stunning them for 5 sec.
Tactics
- Keep everyone except the tank out of the frontal cone of Arcing Smash.
- War Stomp knocks back nearby enemies and stuns them for 5 seconds, so ranged players should stay clear.
- Leave room to recover your position after Knock Away.
Tank
Choose a position where being knocked backward will not turn Ironaya toward the group.
Healer
Top up melee players before they become unable to act during a stomp.

Obsidian Sentinel is a Titan-built stone keeper that protects the vault.
Tactics
- In Classic, the Sentinel periodically splinters into Obsidian Shards that can reflect spells, while its own attack power falls until it stops getting weaker.
- Kill the shards as they appear instead of letting them accumulate.
- Do not assume the encounter becomes harmless just because the Sentinel itself is weakening.
Tank
Pick up fresh shards before they reach the healer.
Healer
Save healing capacity for the growing pressure from surviving adds.
Damage
Check for spell reflection before committing casts into a shard.

Ancient Stone Keeper is another Titan-built guardian, using Sand Storms to bring support into the fight.
Abilities
- Sand Storms · Summons 1 Sand Storm to aid the caster in battle for 30 sec.
Tactics
- Watch for the Sand Storm summoned by Sand Storms rather than keeping all your attention on the keeper.
- The summon lasts 30 seconds, so account for it through the fight rather than treating it as a brief cast effect.

- Amplify Flames · Increases the Fire damage taken by an enemy by 100 for 30 sec.
- Fire Nova · Inflicts Fire damage to nearby enemies.
Tactics
- In Classic, nearby dwarves flee at low health and can pull Galgann early, and his two guards should be killed before him.
- Keep ranged players away from Fire Nova's nearby damage.
- Flame Lash lowers Fire resistance, while Amplify Flames increases Fire damage taken.
Tank
Secure Galgann and his guards together so the group can focus its opening target.
Healer
Prioritize players carrying the Fire damage debuffs when a nova hits.
Damage
Finish fleeing dwarves before they reach the boss.

Grimlok is a trogg in the Stone Vault who keeps a pet basilisk and mixes lightning attacks with buffs and debuffs.
Abilities
- Bloodlust · Increases an ally's attack speed by 30% for 30 sec.
- Chain Bolt · Strikes an enemy with a lightning bolt that arcs to another nearby enemy. The spell affects up to 3 targets, causing 1929 Nature damage to each.
- Lightning Bolt · Blasts an enemy with lightning, inflicting Nature damage.
- Shrink · Reduces nearby enemies' Strength by 3 and Stamina by 3 for 2 min.
Tactics
- Spread out to limit Chain Bolt, which can strike up to three targets.
- Give Chain Bolt priority over Lightning Bolt when choosing an interrupt.
- Bloodlust increases an ally's attack speed, so watch for a sudden rise in incoming melee damage.
Tank
Keep any Bloodlust-buffed enemy under control rather than letting it attack the back line.
Healer
Watch for Shrink reducing nearby players' Stamina as well as their Strength.
Damage
Ranged players should stay outside the nearby area affected by Shrink.

- Awaken Earthen Guardians
- Awaken Vault Warder
Tactics

- Enrage increases both attack speed and Physical damage for 2 minutes, making sustained survival more important than waiting for a brief burst to end.
Tank
Save defensive cooldowns for Enrage rather than spending them all early.

Maintain a health buffer on melee players before Ground Tremor interrupts their actions.

Before you go
Before you go
- Set aside enough timeAllow about 60-90 minutes for a full clear. Agree on a full run before starting rather than finding out halfway through that someone needs to leave.
- Sort your quest logBoth factions have Uldaman Reagent Run and Reclaimed Treasures quests. Alliance players should also check The Lost Tablets of Will and The Lost Dwarves before heading out.
- Assign interrupt coverageSeveral encounters use lightning spells. Decide who kicks first and who covers the next cast so the group does not spend every interrupt at once.
- In Classic, enchanting trainer Annora comes out from behind a rock column after every scorpid in her room is killed.
- Power Stones and Solution to Doom are quests for both factions, so check those alongside your faction-specific objectives.
- Compare necklace quest progress before the run. Alliance has The Shattered Necklace, while Horde starts with Necklace Recovery and has several follow-up steps.
